La Cove Beach Resto & Bar — Restaurant in Kupang

I had dinners with my friends here. This resto is situated at Lasiana beach. We arrived at this resto about an hour before sunset. The atmosphere was awesome. We reserved a table right near the shore so we could enjoy the breeze and the beautiful scenery of orange sky. The resto serves many options of foods and drinks, but we went for a "holiday package". We had sei sapi, sei tuna, bebek betutu, kalio sapi and some glasses of iced tea. We also ordered additional foods (not part of the package) including coconut water, fried casavas and fried bananas. They were super delicious. Honestly we got a little bit issue. Perhaps because at that time they had so many customers, we got our kerupuk so so much later, but it was okay. Later on the night, we enjoyed a live music performance which I think it is scheduled regularly. Come visit this place and enjoy...

The architecture embedded with the touch of local heritage resembles a traditional house made of bamboo impressed us. We reserved the table which was farther from the sound system because it was pretty loud. We got to enjoy the sea view, but there were bamboo laid as fences to keep non customer to enter the restaurant area which imo was messy and unappealing. The food is ordinary and pricy. We had French fries, sliced fruits, mojito and latte. The French fries was good but the fruits weren't sweet. The pineapple mojito tasted just like lemon cider. Some things that ticked me were the typo and misspelling in the menu and how they didn't use coaster to place the drinks on the wooden table. It is a new beach resto and bar in Kupang. The architecture is great but sadly the food and service was not that great.

There wasn’t any greeting from the service when we came and left the place. The food I believe is the most issue here. Their choice of ingredients is poor. For example, they use small size shrimp and fish. The seafood filling in the tom yum soup was small that it feels like it’s a leftover. I believe they can rise the price but choose a bigger and better Seafood ingredients. The taste itself was standard. Nothing worth remembered.
