Was seeking an authentic Chinese restaurant to celebrate Lunar New Year and they over delivered!

What attracted me to the restaurant was first that I found that there would be a barong sai (lion dance) and also that they operated a shuttle in a cute tram style that can come to fetch you if you're within the Kuta limits (must call or WA first to determine). As well it would make for excellent and unique photos.

My kids and I had a hoot going the distance in the open air but covered tram from Lippo Mall Kuta to the restaurant. We were the only ones!

When you round the corner to the restaurant it appears so grand with its wide and tall bamboo crafted entrance. Staff are all so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Food and drinks were done well and with decent portions for family style sharing too. You can mostly order dishes in S, M or L sizes. Drinks are nice and strong. We over ordered all the deliciousness and had another meal or two of takeaway. Next time we come we can order more dishes in the smaller size and have various ones. The squid in salted egg was amazing when it was freshly prepared and brought over. I normally don't like batter but this one was a bit crunchy and soft but just perfect.

So many types of seating available too, spread amidst the gargantuan property with waterfall and even a 2nd area (not in use when we were there). Fascinating for the eyes from all angles.

We ate at the back round banquet style covered areas. Even when my kids were a bit loud from the excitement, we were widely spaced from other patrons. Kids also had a blast to discover all over the property including the ponds with fish, bridge, waterfall.

Bring mosquito repellent as we found we did get some bites where we sat. Perhaps the restaurant could offer them already at the tables for convenience. Luckily I always bring my own.

We left by scooter but the staffs were amazing to ask us ahead of time when they saw us starting to end our night if we would like the tram back. If you come by car, be sure to notify them about 30 mins before you leave so they can take your car out of the valet as parking is somewhat limited but they juggle...

Wanaku Heritage IndoAsian Cuisine The architecture using natural bamboo structures is an amazing construction that keeps the place cool and yet the rain out with the sheer magnitude of the size of the restaurant with a 600 seating capacity.

This venue offers a multitude of purposes for business engagements, family and friends for dinner or just a date out. for me, it was a celebration of friendships at the sprawling magnificent restaurant on the 12.12.2018

Drinks and Food! A house bar man creates interesting cocktails that are a treat to delight in its fantasy concoctions. You need to order one to believe me.

My oh My! After being blown away by the architecture. the food was feed for the soul, belly and palette. Just outstanding!!!!! Must order. a)Sauna herbal sea prawns ( you need to see how the fresh prawns are hot steamed before your eyes at the table and they tasted so good with herbs)

b) Steamed fish in natural balinese spices set on a platter over heat. just yums!

c) Crispy Gurame flying fish with chilli spices. i kept going for this dish.

d) Deep fried Chicken in ginger and spices was super! all that aromatic flavours in 1 dish.

e) But this is one dish that looked so "normal" but it was nothing like it. it was BeST grilled Sotong i have ever had! OMG....its umami many levels up!!! mUsT have!

Now while enjoying and feasting on all the dishes...(i had many more dishes that evening..really)

It was v interesting to watch a local cultural performance! Yes! you heard it right and regardless of where you seat. You get a glimpse of it and certainly the sound system was good to propel the sound of traditional comforting music during dinner.

i have not come across such a place like this and Yes! i highly recommend this restaurant as a place to see- dine, with comfortable seating layouts and configurations in a garden fortress and be entertained at the same time and yes! its alfresco setting but feels so cool because of the setting.

i...

Wanaku is nestled in the heart of Tuban; this breezy, forest-themed Asian fusion restaurant is a true standout. With its enchanting Balinese ambiance, the moment you step inside, you’re transported into a world of culture and culinary delight. The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, showcasing the freshest seafood and meticulously crafted Chinese specialties. Highlights include the wasabi prawns, spring rolls, and seafood fried rice, all of which are exceptional and bursting with flavor. We were told the oysters are particularly noteworthy—or simply the best!—but unfortunately, we missed them at the time of order.

The service here is stellar; the staff is not only polite but also highly professional, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're enjoying a meal with family or friends, every detail is designed to ensure comfort and create lasting memories.

If you’re in the region, dining here is a must. The atmosphere is serene, offering various seating options to accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger groups. The diverse menu guarantees something for everyone, and the prices are surprisingly affordable.

We chose this spot for our first dinner in Bali, and it exceeded our expectations. The delightful ambiance, great mood music, and generous portions of dishes were well received. Thank you for the excellent service! We’ll definitely be back!

PS: the cocktails are equally delicious 10/10...

If there's such thing as a 7 * venue, Wanaku is deserving of such acknowledgment. 9 months after its opening, this extraordinary open air dining "rainforest" jungle themed constructed mostly of bamboos is simply mesmerizing, by its design and construction. Thank you and well done to the owner, architect and constructor involved in the project, we get to enjoyed their creation. Furthermore, their food stacked up to any great restaurants here in Bali, Jakarta and overseas, well priced for their offering. Great service from the team of well dressed, friendly, pleasant and attentive floor staff, thank you. Plenty of dining seating option, you can even immersed your feet while dining. Come early for dinner to enjoy this venue, be mindful of the traffic on the road that leads to this place. What a truly unique open air dining experience, a great way to celebrate special occasions.

This restaurant offering various of chinese food and options of portion. You can choose Small, Medium, and Large of portions. I was order black pepper prawn and clamp, grilled squid, tofu mushrooms, and hokian noodle. All comes with small portions. The squid taste too salty for me, but still tolerable. I love the black pepper prawn, the seasoning is so thick in my tongue. Oh, for the beverage, I was order Wanaku Refresher. Like pinneapple mojito. I choose this because pinneapple is good to reduce our blood pressure after eat some seafood. It is really make me refresh just like the name, Wanaku Refresher. I didnt explore the entire location of restaurant, but it looks like large. The staff also nice and helpful. They also played chinese songs, sound Gong Xi Gong Xi, maybe to celebrate Chinese Lunar year in a following days.
