This is what you called hidden gem. For those who driving a car, you need to park in front of the alleyway. Just walk for 2 minutes and you finish at your destination.
The place only open for breakfast until 11 AM or sold out. Been here a few times, and they still have the consistency of the taste. For the meat selection: you have intestines, liver, brain and others, also they sell empal and marrow. Each rawon they have special sauce and sambal, you need to try first because it’s unique. At first, the sauces a little bit weird, but after you stir together it blend and taste not good, but this is depends on taste buds.
Everything is good, the atmosphere, service and food. But, BE AWARE! If you found the “young” couple who sold you the dishes, they were not honest. There are price differences with the “old” couple who sold us. I paid 90k (2 people each 2 portion) when the “young” couple who sold us (2 people dine in), while i paid 110k for 3 people were the “old” couple who sold us. The “young” couple tends not honest with pricing.

Nasi bungkus berisi daging empal atau paru goreng. Dan ada satu kantung kecil berisi bumbu rujak berisi potongan tahu kecil², yang kata tuan rumah, adalah ciri khas rawon bu Katun ini.
Saat ditanya, saya memilih daging empal, eh isinya paru goreng. Lalu saya minta tukar, eh dapat paru goreng lagi. Ya sudah, saya terima saja, FYI, saya baru pertama kali makan paru goreng untuk saya nikmati sendiri. Sebelum-sebelumnya, saya pernah makan paru goreng berukuran sekitar 3x3 cm saja. Hanya untuk mencicipi.
Lalu bagaimana rasanya? Kuahnya enaklah. Dicampur dengan bumbu rujak, makin unik rasanya, tetap enak.
Kapan² saya pengen mampir langsung di tempatnya. Yang kata tuan rumah, jam 10.00 pagi sdh tutup/ habis.

FYI tempatnya masuk ke gang kecil dan kalo bawa mobil lebih baik parkir di pinggir jalan aja, takutnya di parkiran dalam penuh. Biasanya diatas jam 10 udah pada abis makanannya, so the earlier the better👍🏼
Rawonnya unik, different than the others. Kuahnya light but they add sauce-like things (the red one and the brown one) and you can choose the lauk. There are a lot of lauk here. For me, I prefer lauk otak or sumsum. And my dad prefer lauk babat or empal. And don't forget to order teh anget for your drink.
