We come here for a family dinner, last day of Ramadan hoping we could write a good memory. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When we arrived around 10mins before Maghrib prayer (fasting break time), only one meal and rice were available. Drinks arrived well after the main course. They did provide an interim solution by handing out water cups 10-15mins into the break time. Our appetizer (also known as ta'jil) showed up after we had already finished eating—clearly forgotten until we reminded the server. To top it all off, one of our main dishes never arrived at all.
The staff seemed overwhelmed to anticipate sudden influx of people, while they were polite, it didn’t make up for the lack of coordination in some areas. The seatings were seemed to be maxed out. Food itself was decent, but the chaos completely ruined the meal.
While queueing at the cashier we came to know similar stories from others.
We only hope this was just an off night as they have a potential to be a good...
Read moreTourist trap with sub-par and over priced food. The saving grace is the friendly wait staff and some thoughts put into the deco and creating a nice atmosphere.
Our first warning sign was as soon as we stepped in, we saw mostly foreign tourists eating there then we also saw 3 tables (of around 18 in total) tour drivers who seemed to know this place all too well. Ordered steamed fish, which we were told will take 30mins, a dish of vegetables and some chicken satay sticks.
Not only did all our dishes take 45 mins to come out. On top of that, the fish and chicken were over cooked and the vegetable dish came with chicken and prawns, and it came in this gluggy really unappealing gelatinous 'sauce'.
The total price including a coconut juice came out to just under an exorbitant 280,000 idr. After we paid, our driver even went up to the counter to 'talk' to the staff, (we assumed this was to get his commission for bringing customers there).
Stay away! Tell your driver to take you...

Overall the concept is very traditional. We were greeted very nicely, brought to our table and were given a very good service by the lovely waitress Alia, I think, was her name. We ask for recommendations and she gave us a few suggestions and followed.
1 plate of fish, 1 plate of squid, 1 veggie, 1 soup dish, plenty of rice and even recommended the drink. And the 4 of us were not disappointed. Paid Abt 600k which was quite decent for 4 full stomach.
Just to note whoever reading, flies are annoying but oh wells, food was great still. The sambals all were lit af.
Kudos to Alia and the rest of the team for having us, we truly enjoyed our 1st...
