Restaurant & Seafood Saudara — Restaurant in Makassar

We recently dined as a family at Restaurant & Seafood Saudara, where we encountered a mix of flavors and service experiences.

Starting with the Ikan Goreng Tepung, its crispy coating enveloped a juicy and tender interior, resulting in a satisfying dish. The Sate Ayam, while flavorful, tested our patience with a delayed serving time. Interestingly, it only arrived after we had finished our meal and settled the bill, leading us to opt for a takeaway instead.

Surprisingly, the Nasi Putih, which was touted to serve five, proved to be generously portioned and more than enough for our group of seven. The Palumara, with its rich broth, delivered a captivating depth of flavor that left a positive impression.

On the other hand, the Capcay Goreng didn't leave a strong mark, and while the Tauge was commendably clean, its taste was merely satisfactory. The Paria Telur Asin stood out with its absence of bitterness and a predominant salted egg flavor that added to its appeal.

Service-wise, the experience was in line with typical expectations. Leveraging our membership, we benefited from a discount that enhanced the overall value of our meal. In conclusion, the experience proved satisfactory, although we decided to avoid ordering the Sate Ayam on our next trip here due to previous prolonged wait times....

To many people across Indonesia (and overseas!) Makassar is renowned for its fresh and affordable seafood, and there are very very few places in town that can deliver such experience the like of Restaurant & Seafood Saudara.

There are plenty of options of the various type of fish based on their catch, with the many methods of preparation (grilled, fried, probably best to ask their recommendation).

For those who love spicy food, I highly recommend their "Ikan Masak Woku".

The staff are warm and very helpful. Simply ask their recommendations and they'd be more than happy to help.

As far as fresh seafood in Makassar goes, I think it is a BIG mistake to overlook this...

Our first time in this restaurant but the worest.

We came here together with our guest, we ordered four manu, the manu for our guest was capcay goreng, we wait for 20 minutes and more for our order, they bring one by one the one with delay of 5 minutes each and the last one for our guest after we all three of us had our meals they the restaurant worker come and said the manu we ordered for guest empty we have to order an other manu.
