Sambat Luwe — Restaurant in Malang

I went here with my family. The kids love the location because they can play in the nature. They have guinea pigs farm near the parking lot. Kids love it. However the swing was a bit shaky and even someone complained about it, the staff seemed didn't really bother about it.

The foods and drinks were nice. It's typical comfort food that you usually have at home. We had fried chickens with sambal and some stir fried veggies. The portions were adequate, the chicken was tender and well seasoned. The menus are kids and seniors friendly. Everybody was full and happy.

The service was a bit slow. It's not the fault of the waiters I supposed. They tried their best and they were super nice to the customers. But they were maybe a bit lack of their numbers.

The location is very far from the city centre. Also the access to reach the exact place from the big road is still bumpy. Understandable, cause it's hard to find rice fields area in any big city nowadays anyway. Nonetheless, the construction of the road is expected to make it easier for visitors to access that location.

Protip:

we should check the weather forecast before coming here, cause it can be very hot and not enjoyable in the middle of rice fields or when it rains, it is also possible to get splashed by rain at several locations in this restaurant.

LThere was a poor weak stray cat that no one seemed bother to care. It was surprising for my fam and I who are not really cat people seeing a starving live being wandering around in a restaurant site. Family restaurant with heritage experience, great local taste and nature ambience is vastly becoming trend in Malang right now. Usually people have to travel to remote area like Batu or south of malang to find them.

Located not to far from city +/- 7km this place could be a good choice for you to have breakfast after some outdoor sports activities (near GOR Ken Arok) lunch, or even dinner with friends and family.

The restaurant ambience is nice, with outdoor/semi outdoor concept. You could choose semi outdoor which is like old fashioned javanese building, or outdoor table located next to a rice field, with great scenery and refreshing.

The menu is indonesian/javanese food or snacks, the taste is good, and the price is quite low, the serving time is OK, the waiter/staff is friendly

The place also have playground, farm to play with animals (horses, goats), but you’ll have to buy ticket for it.

You'll need at least 2 hours to get the food. It was absolutely unsuitable for a quick bit and the service deserved less than 2 stars. No one in charge to control the staff, and absolutely poor expediting. They don't even bother to give cutleries needed- omg. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and end up with refund for the food that had not delivered. Luckily the taste and price was good. Ambience was great and tranquil.
