tbh, it was my first time trying "soto udang" because for "soto" we usually have either chicken, beef or jeroan. the soup tasted very tasty and fresh, the shrimp is really good. it was my first time visiting this restaurant because my uncle recommended it to us which led me that my beloved father used to eat in this restaurant too.
there was a funny moment when we asked for "es teh tawar", i forgot that people in medan dont call it "teh tawar" but they call it "teh pahit" or "pahit" instead. cmiiw. the waitresses kind confused when we asked for teh tawar lol forgive us for being tourist.
the shrimp noodles was also pretty tempting but since I couldn't eat much, maybe I'll try again next time. definitely...

Run by the same chinese family for three generations, and frequented by a mix of locals. The toasted bread was out of this world, at least to us Malaysians. And not to mention the kopi... Another must-try.. Really reminiscent of Malaysian kopitiams of the past.
