KYIV Barber & Coffee — Restaurant in North Sumatra

I visited this restaurant with my dad for dinner shortly after their renovation. The place looks fresher and more modern, so I was hoping the dining experience would also improve.

I ordered the Japanese Chicken Curry Rice from the new menu, while my dad ordered Kwei Tiau Siram Sapi (which should include beef). I also got a fizzy blue soda, and my dad chose a lemon tea.

The food arrived quickly, but the curry I received tasted more like an Indian-style curry rather than Japanese. My dad’s dish had almost no beef chunks at all, despite being a beef-based meal. Both dishes were priced on the higher side, which made the lack of quality even more disappointing.

The drinks were also underwhelming, the lemon tea tasted like it came from a packaged mix rather than being freshly made, yet it was still charged at a premium price.

Overall, I left disappointed and don’t plan to return for a full meal in the future. If you do visit, I’d suggest sticking to coffee or light snacks, things they’re less likely to get wrong. For a proper dinner, you might be better off elsewhere. Not to mention you're not going to get a full meal worth the price,...

This place has the best Avocado juice i have ever tasted in Binjai. The Vibes that the restaurant produces is amazing, one can literally orders a cup of coffee, sit there and work in a laptop the whole day. Great services by the servers, very polite. There’s also Public wifi, and clean toilet.

Coffees here are great, i have tried several ones including A cup of hot Mocha, and a flat white. Although i was quite disappointed to learn that, the barista did not know the difference between a latte and a flat white. But it tasted very good, and that’s all that matters

The only downside is that, food could take about 30 to 45 minutes to be served. And the drinks would come out almost instantly after you ordered, making the experience slightly incomplete as i have find myself finishing my drinks even before my main dish has been served.

But overall, the best Cafe around Binjai. The taste could be improved. But honestly, for a cafe, good coffee means everything. Good food is just a surplus....

I just ordered your fish and chips and I'm a first timer. I was surprised to find that it was bloody good and the presentation of the dish was very good and it's more like a standardized dish offered in classy cafes.i wasn't disappointed but impressed.
