It's the kind of place that makes you wonder if all the five stars you have given really mean, "Yes, you definitely need to come here." The owner and the cook herself, an old lady, is swift and in no time we had all our orders ready. Her cooking can easily make you sentimental and remind you of your own Chinese grandma's cooking. We arrived at this restaurant at 9:15am before their official opening time of 9:30am and the owner happily welcomed us. Communication was a breeze as the owner spoke Hokkien and Mandarin, making our ordering process smooth.

The lady owner personally cooked each dish and they all tasted like comforting homecooked meals. We loved the samcang goreng, it was crispy on the outside yet tender inside. However, one of our drinks had some ants. When we asked the waitress to change it, she seemed a bit annoyed.
