Warung Wajik & Pecal Bahagia – Haji Suparman — Restaurant in North Sumatra

Bustling restaurant along the main road- recommended to us by the hotel front desk lady and it was delicious and very affordable! Definitely a hit with the locals too- we went at about 2:30pm and the restaurant was still packed.

Our favourite was the soto ayam (chicken soup) with rice - not very photogenic but hits all the right spots:)

If you are a fan of toufu, go for the tauhu goreng, which is topped with a sweet dark soy sauce and a splash of chilli.

We also ordered pecel (a Javanese salad) at the recommendation of the waiter, who spoke a smattering of English. Veg was fresh, but the peanut sauce was a tad bit too sweet for our liking.

One of the best restaurant around this area. After long time ago not visited this area, now the restaurant come with a new and modern concept. T Lontong pecal is still the best and my favourite. Recommended by a friend from Medan. One of a high traffic restaurant on the way to Brastagi. The traffic was quite fast, their service also very effective, they confirmed us to very detail menu when it’s not available & offer us a subtitute. Please try their Ayam Asam Sidikala (if i’m not mistaken) it’s fresh, full of flavor & tasteful.
