Most people flock to Kopi Klothok, but I find comfort in Kopi Rolas. In my opinion, places like Kopi Klothok and Kopi Rolas offer similar dishes—simple, homey, and affordable Indonesian fare. The key difference? Kopi Rolas lets you enjoy your meal in peace, without the long queues or the rush of an overcrowded space.

Here, you can immediately line up to get your rice and choose from a variety of lauk, including sayur lodeh, tempe orek (both wet and crispy), fried or scrambled eggs, and more. After that, you head to the drink station to order your beverage of choice.

Traditional javanese looks coffee shop slash self service javanese resto which surounded by trees and rice field. You can pick your own meals from the counter, and order your drinks from the menus. It has traditional drinks selections ( wedhang and jamu), beside coffee variants ( v6, true brew, or vietnam drip). I like wedhang teh sereh gula batu and its signatured kopi klothok. I like its pisang goreng aswell. Unfortunately, it’s out of sambals, and staff said it might took half to an hour to make. It’s 1.30pm, which I assumed still about lunch time ( and it’s pretty busy Sunday afternoon, actually). Javanese foods are mostly rich with sweetness as expected, so it’s even better to combine it with a little bit spiciness. Good values for meals and drinks afterall.
