THE FOOD OPERA — Restaurant in Pekanbaru

I've been looking for mutton briyani in Pekanbaru for the last three months, at last I found it today at The Food Opera. Instead of dine-in, I decided to take away and planed to enjoy it at home. Funnily, I could not control my mind of thinking how tasty it is. is it the same with I enjoyed at halal food restaurant in Pokara and Kathmandu in Nepal three months ago? The exterior is pleasant with a good array of tables and themed furniture on first floor. On the second floor, there were private cave style dining areas, enormous sofas with low tables, fantastic mood lighting and snazzy looking dining areas. It’s awesome. Simple as.

Pretty authentic selection of middle eastern food - great for sharing / groups.

Biryani / Kebuli / Mandhi Rice available here with variety lamb chops. Dajaj Madbhi aka Chicken Grilled with Yemeni herbs and spices is my fave. If you come in group, just order their “Special Nampan Package”...

Visited here yesternite. First impression, the place is cozy but not quite cool enough. The waitress who serve us to be honest not impress me for the first time. I ordered Kebuli Rice with grilled Lamb. Kiddos ordered grilled lamb thigh (which in this time i'm a bit upset about how the waitress. She's a bit harsh when tell us that lambs ribs is out of stock).
