A local recommended this place to us. The women who welcomed us was very friendly and took us on a smal tour on their plantation. She explained a lot about the proces from bean to coffee, cacao, fruits and spices they grow. After the tour, we got a big tasting of different coffees and teas. It was a stunning place for a tasting. In all of the coffees and teas (except the plain Bali coffee) was a lot of sugar and milk, a bit of a pity for the coffee flavours. The tourlady also gave us a small tasting of fresh and raw cacaobean, tamarillo and snakefruit. We also ordered one cup of Luwak coffee. They say the Luwaks are not living in cages, so that is why we wanted to try the coffee. It has a different flavour. Nice to try once. We wanted to pay for the Luwak coffee and we were taken to a small shop for the payment. It felt a little bit obligated to buy something, because the tour and tasting is for free. The coffees and teas they sell are quite expensive. So we only paid for the cup of Luwak coffee. It was a nice and...
Read moreAt the beginning it was a very nice family and looked a really cool experience. When you taste the coffes they are really good (with a lot of sugar though) and the view is beautiful (you can miss it, but its nice)... The problem is later... they try to sell you their products at a really expensive price... We bought 2 packs, one of Lemongrass and the other of Ginseng Coffe to support the family and have nive coffee and tea in our trip... but when we prepared it, it was awfull! Not the same as we tried... just chemicals that dissolve quick in the water... but very bad taste... a pink lemongrass powder and a white coffee... plop... very sad because the family was nice... They are just taking advantage of their view and touristic flow to offer a supposed "coffee tour", it is nice, but don't buy their products later!!! They have to stop...
Read moreWorst experience in Bali! They are tricking the tourists (see pic attached)! A local guy at a temple recommended to visit the place (read at other reviews as well) They gave a tour in the plantation, taste of 10 diff teas and coffees (prepared on spot, taste was good, all natural) Later on we could buy their products! The prices were extremely high compered to other stores (including Luwak coffee shops), however we thought it is a unique plantation and they are selling quality product..and we wanted to support the small bussiness WELL NOT - for this money they are selling cheap quality - nothing like those teas we have tried...it is some powder (we took 1 pack of coffee and 3 packs of teas..) all are instant product with...
