Barracuda is a great restaurant if you understand how it works, but if not it will leave you frustrated. Here are some tips:

Order at the kitchen, they have a copy of the menu back there. Don't wait for someone to come take your order.

Come early or late to meal times to get your food in a reasonable amount of time. If you show up at 8am for breakfast you will be waiting for a while.

You can pre-order any dish at any time, not just the items in the 'pre-order' section. This is great if you know what you want for dinner, you can order it at lunch time and save time.

When food comes out of the kitchen, speak up! They just announce the dish and see who calls for it. If you don't flag them down someone else may grab your banana pancake when you ordered it first :)

Default for most dishes is no spice -- if you want spicy you have to request it

We stayed in the area for 6 days, and Barracuda quickly became our go-to spot! We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there — we knew the menu by heart by the end of our stay.

The restaurant is run by a lovely, kind-hearted family. The food is always fresh, generous, and full of flavor. They've clearly adapted the menu to suit Western tastes — the pasta dishes were delicious, and our kids loved the burgers with their soft, fluffy buns.

You can also request local dishes without any problem — they’re happy to accommodate all preferences.

This restaurant gets most of its clients from the diving centre next door. The advantage of this is it because they are always busy there is a good turnover and the food always seems fresh. It would also quickly be known if their food causes any gastric problems so I think they are particularly careful. You do need to know that you have to order in the kitchen, if you just sit down and wait for a server, you’ll be waiting a long time!
