Bonum Burger Bar — Restaurant in Semarang

Honestly speaking my expectations for a true 'Hamburger' experience in Semarang have diminished, ever since the departure of 'Okane' restaurant years back.

Upon my new finding of this Burger Bar last week, I've been enticed by its photos of them burgers, (Unlike other fast food photos which differs a lot from the reality) fat and juicy looking, and ample of meats on every dish. So I thought, could this be the second coming of another great hamburger place in the making?

Finally took the leap in ordering for the first time yesterday, and much to my dismay, I found the meat in the Flying Mushrooms to be on lesser side from its photo and its content to be undercooked. Simple microwave fixed the problem, but this should really not the way to go. Have asked the burger to be cut into two before packaging, chef coulda have checked then if the meat needed further grilling time. On the plus side, the sauce was good and so are the condiments.

Chicken sandwich was good as it is not too sweet for my taste. Portion wise as well 👌🏼

Carnivore fries' good too in terms of flavor, aside from the small portion of the beef, it's a bit on the salty side.

All in all, I still intend to give this Burger place another shot, in the near future (Especially since they plan to open another branch nearby my place).

As I still believe they could better themselves and place their burgers above others in Semarang.

This is a hidden gem in Semarang. Had some burgers here, and they were awesome. They serve beer too. Service was perfect. Price is very reasonable for what you get....
