Restaurant: really cold, but not that cold. The atmosphere is Chinese-vibed. Really comfortable and chill. The walls is unique, but there's a huge crack in it. The brightness is quite dim.
Waiting time: really short, well timed. Presentation: really well placed, it is unique. Complaints: dessert choice is too little.
Food (Truffle collagen): (yes if it's as desired) (no if it's not as desired)
Soup savory: yes Mushroom taste in the soup: yes Rice: no. Veggies: yes. Sauce (soy sauce, Thai chilli sauce, sesame seed, sesame oil, black vinegar, fried garlic, and a soft touch of coriander): yes.
Soup description: the mushroom taste is definitely there, it has a strong flavor of it. The savory is just at the right level, not too sweet nor too salty. It's just so good. Mushroom taste description: it's really fresh, perfectly cooked, earthly flavor is there. The mushroom is crunchy, it has great flavor, this is a fine dish. Rice description: slightly overcooked, it's tasteless, but it's a great dish following the soup. Veggies description: they looked green, fresh and hopefully crunchy. The brocollis are easily overcooked, they're a little bit mushy. The carrot is also overcooked, it just destroyed in my mouth. The cauliflower is perfectly cooked, still crunchy and it have it's signature flavor. Sauce description: really well combination especially when you're eating it with meat. The saltiness is there, the sweetness, sourness and the signature flavor of the sesame oil and seeds worked out really beautifully well. It is not too spicy, not too blend either. Absolute perfection.
Dessert description (milk ice cream): milky flavor, creamy. It's perfect in texture and softness. Quite sweet, but it's good. Not the best, though.
Conclusion: as a non-biased food critic, and being as objective as possible, I will give it an 8.7 /10 (considering the...

Excluding the price, Lao lao Ho Guo aces all those categories. Soups are over the top. With 4 choices of flavors, the soups will satisfy your umami taste buds. The chefs have mastered the skill of mixing many ingredients and fats into large pot of water. Veggies are fresh and clean with no imperfections, and meats are thinly sliced and high quality. With a dip of sauce, the combined taste of veggies, meats and soups create an orchestra of hot and tasty harmony in their mouths.
Pricewise, I will put this place in mid level. A party of two can expect to pay between 250,000 ~ 400,000 and a party of four can expect up to 800,000 for a satisfying lunch or...
Read moreWe passed by the road and saw the sign, and we decided to eat here. The staffs welcomed us very warmly. We got a seat.
The ambience is nice, spacious, clean, and they have nice toilet.
The sichuan broth is quite tasty but a bit too oily for us. But we loveeee the collagen soup and the condiments they have for us.
Unfortunately, the vegetables were a bit a disappointment, as they were a bit not fresh, and a bit smelly. Still fine and edible but not as great quality as we expected.
And the staffs, albeit very friendly and helpful, talked to us while we're eating so it was a bit uncomfortable for us because they talked to us while we're chewing our foods. We've written our review. Hope they read what we...
