RM AMORY MAROS - RESTO SEAFOOD SPECIALIST & NASI TEMPONG — Restaurant in South Sulawesi

We stayed in Makassar about 10 days with team of friends coming from France, Australy and Indonesia. While we stayed there, we had incredible meals at RM Amory restaurant almost every day.

Located in the Maros areas, near the Makassar Airport, Rm Amory restaurant has a delicious cuisine.

Their fish specialty is the “Toro”, a special cut of the tuna fish which I tried there for first time. The tuna “toro” cut is a cut from the breast of tuna with is juicy and tender, rich in collagen’s, much more refined that usual cuts of tuna which can sometimes be a little bit dry.

I also recommend to try their fried calamari and their vegetable souples which are among the best I tested in Indonesia.

Ambas the owner has developed his cooking skills in Italy’s. Ambas and his team are very friendly and warmly welcoming.

The foods are bomb. I ordered red snapper with parape sauce which is amazing, no fishy taste, the meat is tender, and the sauce is just enough sweet and umami. The fried squid is chewy and tender with rica-rica as the dipping. For the vege, I ordered green beans with X.O sauce, amazing. The restaurant is spacious and bright, there is an outdoor and indoor space. The parking lot is quite spacious. The location itself is not right beside the main road, thus creating a quiet atmosphere perfect for family or office gatherings. Got this restaurant from google maps review. At first I was a little doubtful because at lunch time we were the only ones in the restaurant, but after our food was in the table, it turned out that the taste was not disappointing. The food was delicious, fried shrimp, grilled toro fish and salted egg beans were very delicious and the best thing was that the price was very cheap. I will definitely eat in here again if...
