Absolutely a horrible experience.
Arrived and not advertised. Pictures make this place look nice. Its not. Its a dump, we looked into the kitchen and saw it was filthy, "beach" was non existent. Only rocky shore.
So we tried to cancel, and was told we would have to pay 50 percent IN CASH. When i told them that cash isn't possible, their tuned changed to ok with card then. When we said we didn't want to pay for nights not used, we booked 4, we said we would pay for today, they threatened to call the police. I have never been treated this poorly on Indonesia, people sure honest, not these guys.
We tried to get Agoda to handle it, and was told we should have just booked directly with them. We told the man to go ahead and call the police... Which he wouldn't, just a threat.
We paid 1,200,000 + 3 percent and left. Location is horrible, down a long street of broken cement. The place is in disarray and not what you see on the app. Inserts of just sending us on our way, the threatened is, strong armed us.
Stay in town on the west facing beach, we switched to another place same price which actually had pictures that accurately represents the place.

Read moreWe have a group of 14 divers had breakfast before departing to Andau Resort @ center west of Raja Ampat and then seafood dinner after wrapping up our dive trip. We were able to reserve a private room with AC and overlook the harbor while enjoy the sunset. They offer all kinds of southeast Asian food with flavorful sauces such as satay. We had off menu seafood dishes. Panulirus ornatus (lobster) were cooked with two different ways; steamed with garlic and stirfry with Kecap manis; these lobsters were incredibly fresh, juicy and sweet while giving you an enjoyable firm and smooth texture. The freshly steamed Red hind groupers were succulently delicate and tender. The barbecued jackfish were grilled by wood charcoal over an open fire and season only with salt and pepper; the aroma of the mildly burned and smoky fish skin intensified the flavor of freshness of the jackfish. All the dishes were scrumptious and only live seafood can present these type of quality. The feast @ Marina Star will be my standards and talk about fresh seafood for...
Read moreRestaurant with view of the marina, and pier. The staff was so kind and helpful. This place is owned by the same people who own Andau Beach Resort on Pam Island. We were picked up from here to take a 2.5hr boat ride (calm water/weather) to Andau at 6:30am. We were also dropped off here after our stay at Andau Resort. Then settled our entire bill (boat ride to/from, alcohol, excursions, etc.) by credit card. The island didn't have connectivity to pay by card at the time of our checkout, so we came back here to pay.
It should be 100,000idr from Sorong airport to this restaurant - be sure to agree on this with the driver before you get in the car. We were quoted higher but Andau staff gave us a heads up beforehand...
