An old-homey chinese restaurant in the middle of city. Went here for the first time as I can't find any open restaurant during this fasting period.
It was...scary after entering the restaurant. It's like entering and old dark chinese house. The interior is a house, added with 4-5 table sets. Tablewares were also quite stained.
But forget about those unpleasant experiences: it is all paid off when you taste the dishes. We tried their capcay and babi hong, and just wow. It's been a long time since I tasted tasteful chinese cuisines with authentic flavour from the sauces.
Prices are quite moderate ($$ if it's on Jakarta level, idr 500k for 4 persons with a leftover), but were really worth the taste. Sekarang resto ini terbagi dua; di bagian samping (dapur dan area makan terpisah) untuk no pork no lard dan area utama yang menjual menu pork.
Saya datang sekitar jam setengah 4 sore san rupanya area utama yang menjual menu pprk sedang istirahat jam 3-5 sore. Sambil menunggu, saya memutuskan makan dulu di area samping.

Mie Ayam Jamur Bakao (Rp. 24.000)
Untuk di area luar harga menunya sudah nett tanpa tambahan service charge ataupun pajak.
Mienya lumayan kenyal dengan isian ayam yang cenderung manis gurih, sedikit potongan jamur, caipo dan caisim.
Sayangnya caisimnya overcook. Namun rasa mienya boleh juga. Rasanya cenderung gurih, kalau termakan caipo jadi asin sekali.
Untuk kuahnya aslinya hambar, jadi harus diaduk biar terasa asin dari caipo.
Lindung Cah Fumak (Rp. 90.000)
Ini menu di area utama. Porsinya besar sekali, bisa untuk 3-4 orang. Karena saya datang sendiri, jadi saya habiskan dan sangat befah.
Saya suka lindungnya. Teksturnya renyah dan tidak berbau. Rasa lindungnya sangat asin kalau dimakan begitu saja, namun kalau dimakan dengan sausnya yang cenderung manis gurih malah menetralisir rasa.
Ada sedikt hint rasa tape merah sebagai after taste namun lebih dominan rasa saus tiram. . . Untuk area utama ada tax 10% dan bisa bayar cash maupun debit. Satu hal yang menurut saya perlu dihighlight, ownernya jujur.
Jadi total pesanan saya (nasi + es teh + teh tawar + lindung cah fumak) Rp. 113.300. Saya bayar cash 113.500 dan ownernya mau ngasih kembalian!
