Arrived here while starving was a bad idea. -We arrived when the crowd at peak, no table available and we got the table after few minutes waiting. We order from first table, and we move to next available table with more clearer view of mount Sinabung at the front. First we have notified the crew, when waiting almost 1 hour with only last menu havent arrived, we call the crew and they ask where is our initial table. She confirmed and check, again we left hanging. I went to the cashier to confirm, again same conversation, the crew inform the piza was sent to the initial table but since they said no one sitting there the dish returned to the kitchen. Which this is so unprofessional excuse they can give.

The view was stunning, but the music was loud. No chill cafe vibe. Food? biasa jur nyah, but I love the...

Only get coffee and enjoy the view, take in the fresh air and photos - that is all you should do as to NOT repeat our mistake.

We came hungry as we didnt get breakfast so we ordered a lot, and a lot did come - in shapes and sizes of disappointment.

  1. nasi goreng rendang doesnt have rendang nor does it tastes of any rendang, it comes with 1 drummet instead
  2. nasi soto medan - comes in a bowl of watered down soup, with only half a boiled egg and glass noodles which for the price is VERY expensive for the quality. It doesnt even have chickenn??? All soto medan have chicken! This one comes with half an egg ONLY.
  3. volcano pizza - mehhhhhhhh. Just inflated pizza at the center also hollow to add, with minimal toppings and big big biggg price to make up for all the...

Sarune Cafe in Medan offers a delightful escape with excellent coffee and snacks that highlight local flavors. The cafe is thoughtfully designed with a cozy ambiance, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and socializing. One of its unique draws is the breathtaking view of Mount Sinabung, giving guests a serene backdrop while enjoying their coffee. Adding to the experience is a nearby lavender field, perfect for photo opportunities and a refreshing touch of nature. Sarune Cafe beautifully combines great food and drinks with scenic charm, making it a must-visit for locals and...

Great cafe/restaurant with an amazing view of Mt Sinabung and the surrounding jungle, attached to what looks like luxurious accommodation. The food was tasty, though no better than a lot of other local places. You’re primarily paying for the view and clean aesthetic. There is also some western food available. Average price between 40-60k. Coffee and drinks selection is great! Though drinks were on the small side. Drinks average around 35k. Overall, well worth a stop if visiting the volcano and surrounding ghost towns. It also has toilets. - Matt | @mattsnextsteps
