Bebek Kayu Tangan — Restaurant in Surabaya

One of the best "Bebek Bakar" in Surabaya. I love the "bumbu rujak" they offer. The meat simply fall off easily from the bones, making a great eating experience. I only ever had ice tea there as drinks, they aren't too sweet which is perfect for me. The price is reasonable since you get quite a huge portion. The restaurant itself is quite old with a rather difficult parking situation if you bring a car to get there.

They don't really offer much else aside from ducks, but the ducks alone are awesome. You could get some to go / take away as well. They took quite a while to prepare your order, around 30 minutes even when there weren't anyone else...

A nice, authentic duck cuisine in Surabaya. Portion and taste-wise, the duck was large and delicious. Not the kind of oily fried duck meat you would usually find in Surabaya, this one is more on the dry, crispy side, and that's what makes its taste unique for me. The duck is good, but compared to others, this place is lacking, in taste of the duck and also the sambal. The portion is good enough though. What also really matters is that the price is more expensive than the others. Of course still cheaper than posh restaurants, but more expensive than similar duck...
