SAS Cafe N Resto — Restaurant in Surabaya

Taste of the food: so so, nothing special.

Price: quite affordable.

Ambience: quite good actually, except for the VIP room (which is where we held our Iftar event unfortunately, due the need for private space and sound system). Truth is, there's nothing "VIP" about VIP room for some reasons: Outdated interior, totally needed to be renovated. Issues with the microphone from time to time. Air conditioner didn't function well.

Services: very slow and bad We was informed that there would be limited takjil, but not fully informed that it would be ran out before 5 pm because apparently we had to fight over it with other customers 😅 Food and beverages were delivered late. Like seriously? We had already booked for iftar a week ago and they didn't even have the decency to deliver the beverages before adzan magrib 🤦 We had to ask the waiters to clean the table twice before they finally came and later only cleaned less than 1/3 of dirty dishes from the room 🤷 We requested for NO single use straws but they keep on putting them in some of our cups ☹️

In summary it was exhausting for me to ran to the front desk for countless times just to remind them to immidiately deliver the food and the drink before adzan, to fix the mic issues, to help cleaning the table, etc.

Overall, since we spent almost IDR 3400K here, it was a very disappointing experience.

Additional input for the resto: It will be so much better if you guys stop using styrofoam packaging and single use plastic cups/straws because they are not only bad for people health and but also bad for the...

It is a really unpredictable eating resto. The entrance is a narrow alley, enough for one car, with slump area on both sides. And then we get into a abandoned look steel building. But unfortunately it is the parking area of the resto. The facade of the resto is not inviting at all. But the delicious smell comes from it, and makes us wanna try. Just right when you come across the lobby, you will be surprise with lovely view. Comfy huts everywhere, outdoor seatings are arranged nicely, some even naturally made from stones and wood. Like it is not enough, it is surrounded by rice field in one side, and small lake at other side. Lovely greens and trees in the area make it more comfy. The view of surrounded rice fields with the skyscrapper building and giant electric tower at the far backgroun, with blue sky and lots of bird flying make the place more pretty. The live music stage on the lake make it even more enjoyable. The food it self is very delicious. The black pepper and butter sauce seasoning for the seafood are recommended. The review is dedicated to car service at SAS. My only place to go when my car have a problem I believ since 2008. The service and hospitality is very nice. The staff is friendly and informative. They make sure that the old parts can be maintaned before the option goes to full change the parts. The price is proper and they try can done the service by end the service hour as long they not fully occupied. This place offer car paint with oven option so the result will closely to the original one. There is also the car wash and the price is not that pricy. There is also indoor waiting area with full AC.

Note for this place is only the entrance way because during the rainy season especially will have flood. So it is hard to pass by foot when you...
