It was my first time dining at Sitara, Overall experience 4/5, food 3/5 for me.
As an indonesian looking person, many Indian restaurants underestimate my taste for authentic Indian Cuisine, sadly Sitara falls a bit short of being authentic (granted I did not try all their menus)
Sitara has potential, it really does. The decor is amazing, great location, clean restaurant, service is fast, table and furniture are good.. But the most important thing is the food right? Where do I start..
Naan 5/10: I had the garlic naan. Cmon, it was wet and was too doughy for a naan. For me a good naan is slightly chewy with a crispy exterior... Not wet! I've had worse to be honest. But a bad naan, is unacceptable for an Indian restaurant
Papri chaat 9/10: One of their recommended dish and it was amazing. The crispy puris with green chutney and tamarind was exquisite. Recommended dish here.
Butter chicken 6/10. I know, it's a mainstream dish, but it's one of their recommended dish. Imagine a watered down sweetened butter chicken, that's what I got.
PLEASE DON'T ADD SUGAR, IT IS A CRIME TO BUTTER CHICKEN. Not sure if they added sugar, but it was overly sweet, way too sweet that the spices was undermined. When I asked the waitress, she said that is how butter chicken is, not spicy. Madam please, this was almost dessert like sweet. I gave 6/10 because the chicken was quite juicy and overall it does feel like the chef was trying to make butter chicken. My mom is not indian, but if her butter chicken tastes better, it's

Spacious restaurant with view towards a golf course..vegetarian curry has a variety of dishes. Like ghobi mancurian, navatran korma, malay kofta, khadi curry, paneer matter, dhal fry tarka, and many other vegetarian curry choices available.
As an appetizer for vegetarian cuisine there is Paper Masala, which is tomato onion, coriander leaves that have been cut into small pieces sprinkled with chili powder and chat masala (Indian salt), and the base uses crackers that are quite large in size. There are also nutrient kababs, aloo tiki, paneer loly pop, vegetable mancurian, vegetable samosa and many others.
For non-vegetarian dishes, the most favorite at this restaurant is tandoori chicken. This menu is a typical Indian grilled chicken, besides that there is also chicken curry and goat curry.
Indian bread in this place also has various types. Like parata bread, chepati and nan. For bread that is parata and chepati, the shape is thinner, while bread is thicker. As for the drinks, the favorite menu in this place is mango lazzy, which is mango juice blended or mixed with yogurt. There is also a masala tea, a fresh drink with Indian tea boiled with...
Read moreThis is nice Indian cuisine, the herbs is actually acceptable and very palatable to our liking in Indonesian. Not so overpowering like we imagine before. They have a lot of dishes that is not easy to remember. But my suggestion try their kebab platter, oh my gosh all the meat start from chicken, beef lamb and fish, very succulent and tasty. When you eat with Naan or garlic butter bread, order the lamb curry with tomato ( I forgot the name because it is not easy to remember all the Indian cuisine only visiting them twice), they butter chicken is also good. Nasi briyani have several choice but I forgot which one is the best, one of them taste like nasi goreng using basmati rice. All the taste in the dishes are strong but enjoyable and eating with lots of friends like having big feast and somehow it affecting your mood to be happy after eating their dishes. Will come again to taste more and will update the review after I can remember and recalling all the...
