A Delightful Culinary Journey at Yin Resto
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yin Resto, a hidden gem tucked away in Kenjeran, Surabaya. As a lover of authentic Taiwanese cuisine, stumbling upon this modest restaurant was a delightful surprise. Run by the owner, who hails from Taiwan herself, Yin Resto truly captures the essence of Taiwanese flavors.
I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The owner's personal touch is evident throughout the establishment, from the heartfelt decor to the meticulously prepared dishes.
What sets Yin Resto apart is the fact that the owner takes pride in personally cooking each meal. From the mouthwatering snacks to the scrumptious main courses, every dish exudes authenticity and is a testament to the owner's culinary prowess.
While every dish I tried was exceptional, my absolute favorite was the fried chicken. The crispy golden exterior gave way to tender and flavorful meat, perfectly seasoned to create an explosion of taste with every bite. It was undoubtedly a standout dish that left me craving more.
Overall, Yin Resto is a hidden treasure that captures the heart and soul of Taiwan's culinary traditions. The dedication and love poured into each dish by the owner shine through, creating a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Taiwanese cuisine or simply curious to try something new, Yin Resto is a must-visit destination in Surabaya.

I ordered the Taiwanese Sausage, Pork Chop, kucai suikiaw and some noodles! Crispy Chicken Rice is a must order if you’re eating alone and doesn’t have anyone to share the food with. Order a side of Fried Seafood Tempura as well to complete the vibe.
Place is very cozy and gives you some peace and quiet. Best of all, the Taiwanese owner will personally cook the food for you!
One last thing, the chili sauce that they make is to die for.
