Elmonts Coffee (Kopi Lokal Sulawesi Utara, Arabika Tomohon, Cafe Terbaik Tomohon) — Restaurant in Tomohon

When my friend asked me to look for a coffee shop in Manado, there's one thing in my mind "Is there any specialty beans that I can find here in Manado?" It's kinda different with Toraja which very famous for its coffee beans, I never heard one of beans coming from Manado.

So browsing the best possibilities to get a very good local coffee shop that served great coffee beans, luckily enough we found this place not long after we search online.

The barista / owner was learned about coffee in Japan (that's so WOW), and then they came back to Manado try to served and introduce Manado's local bean to the society, and comes in mind to the world.

They don't served any Americano or Long Black (sorry folks, it's for espresso and manual brew kind of coffee, which is my thing) .. And I tried Tomohon beans, and my friend tried Minahasa Koya (which is one of the favourite beans in this place).

Oh how can I express the taste thru text and stories? If you're in Manado, you should come to this place to enjoy their coffee...

If you know what "inverted aeropress method" means, then you might be a coffee snob, and you definitely need to plan a trip to this place. We were so impressed by the barista's passion in making our cup that we decided to do an impromptu tasting of all their bean varieties. So good!

Amazing place with a family vibe (we met the owners, their kids, etc) and a passionate dedication to elite-level coffee. Bonus is that they roast on site. I bought bags of 3 varieties of local coffee that were roasted 1-2 days before my visit. Prices extremely competitive. You are not going to find a fresher bean in Indonesia.

Best coffee place with warm & cozy atmosphere, and very recommended place to taste Indonesian specialty coffee especially from Minahasa region. You can choose various local coffee beans with different type of process, strong & unique aroma, and of course tasty notes. We ordered both their ice & hot coffees, with choices of beans from Elmont's Original blend with V6 Filter and Honey Mobalang press. The most delicious coffee we've ever tasted!!
