I recently had the pleasure of dining at a hidden gem of a restaurant in Tuban, East Java. This place, known for its delectable seafood offerings, truly satisfied my cravings for a spicy feast. Located on a narrow street, finding the restaurant was a bit challenging, but the culinary experience was well worth the effort.

The menu boasted a delightful selection of seafood delicacies including crab, eel, squid, shrimp, and duck. Every dish I tried showcased the restaurant's expertise in preparing tantalizing seafood flavors. However, it's important to note that most of the dishes were on the spicier side, making it a paradise for those who enjoy a fiery kick. If you're not a fan of spicy food, this might not be the ideal place for you.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy, though there was no air conditioning. Instead, large fans were strategically placed to keep diners cool. I appreciated the rustic charm that added to the authenticity of the experience.

To complement the meal, I indulged in a traditional drink called "legen," which came in a generous 1.5-liter bottle. The refreshing taste perfectly balanced the spiciness of the dishes.

Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices were reasonable. For instance, a portion of crab was priced at 125,000 rupiah, offering good value for the mouthwatering seafood.

If you're a seafood enthusiast who loves bold flavors and doesn't shy away from a bit of spice, this restaurant in Tuban is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a bit of adventure...

“Hidden Gem, Lobster with Authentic Spicy Curry”

To reach this small restaurant you may need local people to guide you or you can ask the direction from the local people.

I must say, this place is a 'Hidden Gem' in Tuban. I ordered 1 portion of Lobster, 3 portions of Crabs, 7 rices, 7 drinks, and some fish crackers only cost Rp 500.000. It's cheap since other seafood restaurant give way MORE expensive price for the same dishes I've ordered in this place.

The Crabs and Lobster seasoned with Indonesian curry sauce. It taste savory and spicy dishes, with authentic indonesian herbs and spices. One portion of Lobster consists of 3 medium lobsters.

The lobsters meat is so tender and delicious, like the taste of heaven. (hahahaha, trust me...so delicious, until I cant describe in words). What about the Crabs?? Hmmm...SO YUMMY!! and tender and delicious. Just cant get enough of them!.

Oh my god, this place is amazing. Should try the lobster and rajungan crab egg. I want to drink 'legen' but they out of stock. Taste really good, very spicy, big portion. There are 2 kind of rice, normal rice or corn rice (nasi ampok). Quite pricey. 1 portion of lobster is around 150.000 rupiah (consider cheap for people from big city).
