Rumah Makan Fakhira — Restaurant in Wamena

This is literally the most recommended restaurant in Wamena. Every time I ask a local for a restaurant recommendation, they suggest this place! It has happened 4 or 5 times now. Fakhira serves a variety of Indonesian dishes, including nasi goreng, mie goreng, fried chicken, and so on. But the Lalapan seems most popular. You can pick a main dish, from tofu/tempeh to duck or fish, along with rice, vegetables and fresh sambal (hot salsa). Prices are reasonable for Wamena, and the food is fresh. I feel regret didn't take any photos of their food!!!!! I think this restaurant was best so far while i'm in Wamena! They have a delicious black fried rice, you have to try it if you fan of squid. Best so far in east indonesia ( i'm not exaggerated it , especially for the black fried rice ). If you like spicy , you should try their garlic chillies! This is the best you can get for a good food in Wamena. At least that's what our tour company said. We have no chance to explore another culinary sites as our day so busy travelling around Baliem Valley. Their black squid nasi goreng is good. I have no clue about Papuan food.
