I dropped by recently and it’s got that magical vibe. The place is spacious—you won’t feel cramped, even when busy—and made to host a good number of people comfortably. Right when you arrive, you register by scanning a QR code at the gate: name, phone number, and how many pax. They’ll point you to view the tables once you place your food & drink order (you pick first, then they secure your spot). Process is pretty smooth and efficient; before long you’ve got your table number and are shown to your seat.
What struck me immediately was how lush and peaceful everything is. There’s the gentle sound of water flowing—like waterfalls or a small river—lots of greenery everywhere, plants that make you feel like you’re stepping into a nature nook. Seating is comfy and cozy, many spots perfect for chilling out, chatting, or taking photos. Speaking of photos, if you like snapping pics, this place is a gem: scenic corners, natural light, green canopies—it almost feels like a set for an inspiring magazine shoot.
Food-wise, the menu leans heavily on Indonesian fare, which is awesome if you want local flavors. The variety is decent; you’ll find options that satisfy different tastes. Taste? Quite good. Flavors are authentic and enjoyable. On the flip side: prices are definitely on the higher side compared to similar cafes or restaurants. If you’re expecting “cheap,” this won’t be the cheapest—but many people I saw were okay paying extra for the ambience and experience.
One more thing: payment is only at the end—that means after you’re done eating, you walk to one of the cashier booths. They have several throughout the area, so you’re not trekking too far.
Overall, Kampung Daun is perfect for when you want to escape the city buzz, hang out with friends or family in nature, take nice photos, and enjoy relaxed...

well thought-out single entry and exit routes, both for the complex and the saungs (gazebos). Diffused air (with disinfectant?) are blown through a tunnel as you enter the complex they actually check whether one has filled in the contact information. Not all places do contactless interaction truly made possible at each touch point: entry, reservation, looking up menu, ordering, payment. Really make a good use of QR codes here 1 handwashing station for each saung, no-touch operation steam sterilizer available for each saung for the dinnerware and silverware. The silverware are freshly provided when guests occupy the saung (still warm from the dishwasher!). Less worry over whether previous guests touched them and for those who have never been, all spots are outdoors, distanced 2 metres or more between saungs.
So there is very little to worry about in terms of covid here. However, I took off 1 star due to this one thing...
as I was about to finish a veggie dish (keciwis), I saw there was a dead worm in it!! Good thing I was finishing up, otherwise it would have ruined my appetite from the start. Hubby even said we might have eaten some (worms) already... ugh
Other than that, food taste and portion are great. Sekoteng ronde is great. A little pricey but worth...

We had lunch here and ordered Spaghetti panggang sosis mozzarella, Strawberry panna cotta, Paket gawir, Fettuccine chicken katsu, Sate maranggi, Es kelapa muda and Kopi tubruk.
For the food itself like Spaghetti panggang sosis mozzarella, Strawberry panna cotta and Fettuccine chicken katsu the tastes were normal, nothing special, the carrots in the Fettuccine chicken katsu were hard to bite. I can understand those due western cuisine is not their specialty, I think it would be better for them to focus more on Indonesian cuisine which is their specialty and mainstay. Paket gawir and Sate maranggi were delicious, especially the Karedok and Sate maranggi.
As for the service, when we ordered Sate maranggi they forgot to include it in our food ordered so we needed to remind them again, but on the bright side they quickly served Sate maranggi which they had forgotten to include in our food ordered. The service was friendly and when we finished eating they asked for input from us if there were any shortcomings for future...
