Happy Restaurant — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

We wanted to have dinner there and arrived to an almost empty restaurant, only 1 other table with people that ate already. So we thought it can’t take too long. We ordered 2 dishes, then a lot of people started arriving. We waited for quite some time already when the waiters started bringing food out, not for us but for a lot of the people that arrived way after us. We asked how that is possible and the waiter told us they preordered online. If that’s really the case then it would’ve been good to communicate that to us before so we could’ve known that we might need to wait long. In total we almost had to wait 1 hour for our food to arrive. The food was ok but not so special.

In the last 6 months, we ate at Happy five times a week sometimes more! Their food and service are top-notch, as well as the pricing being very affordable. Our top recommendations, [coming from someone who owns a restaurant] are the Beef Rendang, Chicken Satay, Fish and Chips, Fish Curry, Fish Oregano, Spring Rolls, Beef Steak (tender and so tasty), garlic butter prawns. Their food and sauces are cooked from scratch using almost exclusively local sources. Absolutely disgusting. Ordered pasta the first night, it was so oily I could only eat half before feeling nauseous. Also ordered the nacho’s which were again soooo greasy. Thought okay maybe I just ordered badly, went back the next day for breakfast and ordered the pancake and it was a thick pancake that was so undercooked just mush basically. And plate was boiling hot so believe they must’ve microwaved it.
