Manouchehri Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Derak RD

Unfortunately the reviews are accurate. The only positive thing about this place is the open green outdoor garden area, otherwise the food and service is flat out terrible.

Service: Terrible interaction. The rudest I’ve had in the last few years. Very long wait. You literally have to run after them to get service. When the waiter arrives - you can’t ask questions, they will just ignore you, push you to order, add unwanted items and immediately ask for your card and disappear.

Food: overpriced and below average quality. Simple things like rice and bread are priced 3-5x more compared to other places. A simple bread is 70k and simple plain rice +100k tomans. Basic entry level kebabs are +450k and go up to +1M. They’ll charge you for silly items like plastic cups which is just embarrassing… the food itself, low quality, average taste. I’ve never seen so much oil in a kebab dish. You could literally see the oil solidify while you were eating. Had stomach pain the next day.

Atmosphere: would’ve given it a 4 or 5 if it wasn’t for the extremely loud tacky music they were constantly playing that you can’t escape. There were moments it sounded like a guy out of tune screaming over an extremely loud base…

It was the worst mistake to choose this restaurant. I was embarrassed in front of my guests. I went there with 20 persons of my family members. After 1.5 hours that nobody came for our order, I personally went to find a waitress. When she came, everything we ordered was not available. At the end they hadn’t taken some of the orders and came with fewer number of orders. I ordered 4 portions of rice but they brought just a small dish of rice which they said was good for 3 persons. They brought three orders in one plate. There wasn’t any glasses. All in all they had the worst customer service and it was the worst place I’ve ever gone among so many restaurants I’ve been in different cities and countries up to now. Wooden stairs tied with ropes, beautiful stone pavement, eye-catching vases of flowers on every corner, cosy, intimate rooms surrounding pools, entertainment facilities for children, old pictures of Shiraz, lanterns lighting paths, and many other meticulously chosen elements reminiscent of old Persian Gardens as well as helpful, quick, and polite staff all contribute to provision of a retreat you would definitely enjoy spending time.
