Bellamonica Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Tehran

My wife and I have been to this restaurant many times and always were happy with the quality of the food and the service. BUT, last night i invited 2 foreign guests to have Italian food and oh boy.... food was cold and really bad quality. Service was even worse. Servers were busy watching football on TV while waiting on customers!!!! And not paying attention to customers at all. One of my guests ordered Arbiata pasta with red sauce which they used tomato paste!! as the sauce and servers were so busy with the tv that forgot about my pizza which by the time it made it to the table it was just cold. I think the management needs to train their servers that if they like to watch football they better stay home and not damage the reputation of the restaurant. Whilst visiting tehran i was invited to bella monica. On arrival the staff was very polite and welcoming (they speak both english and persian). The menu did also come in both english and persian with descriptions. The restaurant itself is known for having the best pizza and pasta in all of tehran. I personally liked the pesto pasta along with fillet steak pizza (my friend said the cesar salad was really good). We also ordered the fried calamari starter which was moist and crispy(ask for the mayonaise sauce its to die for). The drinks depend on what you are eating so i can’t say much about that. Regarding the environment, i would say its very rustic and friendly with comfy sofas. The only thing I would say is that it can be difficult to get there without a car. While it's a very nice and cozy place, it was one of the worst foods I have ever eaten, not in terms of the quality of the food but the taste! I start with salads; Greek salad that is exactly our Shirazi salad! In the menu, the ingredients for the Greek salad were written by cherry tomatoes, but the regular tomato was chopped into very large pieces!
