Gilaneh was one of the better meals I had in Tehran, although I didn’t like everything. The neck of lamb with caramelised onions was wonderful and very, very tender. The aubergine purée was also great. The salty yoghurt drink with dried marjoram was a bit too odd, though. The same goes for the olives with a purée of walnuts and pomegranate, although this is a specialty in Iran. The trout was overcooked and really salty, but the amount of salt seemed intentional. You’re supposed to cut up this small piece and mix it with all of the rice. Haney is the best restaurant I’ve been to so far in Iran, but the food is very similar to that at Gilaneh, so if you can’t go to one, you can go to the other. I probably liked Haney better simply because we happened to have some other dishes (that you can probably also find at Gilaneh).

It is a crowded restaurant specially on the weekend. Staff was well-behaved but they were rushed to take order. About the atmosphere, it has some rooms and a main hall. Each room has it own decoration and it is beautiful. They are tables suitable for groups but you should reserve before going there. Regarding food, the starter plate including Mirzaghasemi, Eggplant Borani, Spinach Borani was awsome. Kebab Torsg and the Anarbij was delicious. They are highly recommended. Chicken with Aromatic vegetables was mid-level and I didn't like it.

The doogh was very good + Cause the staff changed our table (as it was reserved before) they brought a delicious salad for free + The sour lamb kebab was tasty but, hard to shred + I didn't like the chicken but, my friend did like + I didn't like the rice but, my friend did like + Kind of easy for parking + Mirzaghasemi was very good but, the Spinach and Borani were okay + Staff were nice Another day: We tried their Sour Chicken Stew and it wasn't good; the taste was something between Ghormeh-Sabzi and Sweet Fesenjan

Gilane whisked me away to Northern Iran with its unique Gilaki cuisine and warm Persian atmosphere.

The restaurant boasts one beautifully decorated private room, perfect for family gatherings, but also cleverly adaptable for shared dining. The entire space is adorned with gorgeous Persian art and filled with enchanting traditional music that truly sets the mood.

The staff were both attentive and friendly, adding to the lively ambience. For my meal, I ventured beyond the usual and dove into the "Morghe Torsh." This delicious stew featured tender chicken nestled amongst a symphony of vegetables, walnuts, and dried barberries, all bathed in a delightfully light and tangy sauce. The accompanying "Tahdig" was a revelation - fluffy white rice cooked in a small pot, resulting in a crispy, golden brown bottom layer known as "Tahdig." The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine!

Highly recommend Gilane for a taste of authentic Northern Iranian cuisine in a beautiful and...

My family and I order from Gilnaeh Restaurant very regularly, at least 2-4 times per week. The taste and quality of the food is good. The quality of service is terrible, it is simply awful. We normally order either by phone directly from Gilaneh or through food delivery applications. Our order is always delayed by at least 30 to 60 minutes. The worst part is that not only is the food delivered late, but it is always incomplete. A fresh example is that we order 5 Kababs and 3 salads along with 4 extra sauces. the restaurant delivered the kababs but did not delivery salads and dressings. I ended up spending my Friday night calling the restaurant/food delivery exactly 9 times over a period of 2 hours. The salads and sauces were finally delivered after 2.5 hours. The worst part is that neither the restaurant nor the food delivery company took responsibility for...

We had 3 dishes for the table. Two of the stews were extremely sour to the extent that we could not eat any of the them. (I love sour foods and I love lavashak anar, but this sourness was very acidic and not tasting good at all). We also had Kabab Torsh, which was the worst Kabab Torsh I ever had. Having said that, their rude and ignorant staff is the main reason I am writing this review. I waited 4 months to write the review so I can rethink and be fair. But after reviewing my experience again, I believe the waiter was very rude (nothing even close to the lowest standards of a professional waiter) and then the management staff were extremely ignorant about our very friendly feedback about the server. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant and there are plenty of better restaurants in Tehran which you can try all sort of...
