Tulliana Pizza — Restaurant in Tehran

Tulliana is often mentioned on social media as one of the best places for Neapolitan pizza. We ordered the potato balls and the garlic steak pizza.

First of all, they didn’t provide us with individual plates, so sharing from one dish was inconvenient. The potato balls were good, but the pizza was overly greasy. The toppings didn’t stay in place, the base underneath felt soggy and oily, it had no garlic flavor at all, and the outer crust was undercooked on the inside while not being properly crisp on the outside. Overall, I found the pizza quite average.

Keep in mind that there’s only outdoor seating, with many cats around, which might make eating difficult for some people. We tried the chicken bianca pizza, the bacon and chili avocado pizza and the pepperoni. We also had the pulled beef sandwich but since I didn’t try it I can’t review it. The pizzas were delicious but the balance of carbs to fat was off, in other words it was rather oily. The pepperoni pizza was my favorite and chicken bianca came in second. We also ordered plain fries and the caesar salad which were pretty good. The service was excellent and they were very polite. The atmosphere was open and pleasant but they do not have any indoor seating. پیشتر در شعبه یک تالیانا (خیابان پیراسته در کوی زعفرانیه) پیتزاهای ناپولیتن خوشمزه‌شان را خورده‌بودم ولی نمی‌دانستم که شعبه دیگری از بهمن ۱۴۰۱ در تپه قیطریه باز کرده‌اند. با دوچرخه از «فلکه اول تهرانپارس» رکاب‌زدم و کاملاً گرسنه به آنجا رسیدم. نخست اینکه شاید برای سینمادوستان جالب باشد که مکانی که تالیانا در آن واقع شده، مکان پیشین «استودیو مولن‌روژ» است؛ این شرکت سینمایی که توسط برادران اخوان (مرتضیٰ و مصطفیٰ) در دهه سی خورشیدی گشوده‌شد، هم فیلم‌های آمریکایی را به ایران وارد می‌کرد، هم آنها را دوبله می‌کرد و هم در سینماهایی که مالکشان بود (شاخص‌ترینشان، سینما مولن‌روژ، سروش کنونی، گشایش ۱۳۴۵») پخش می‌کرد. همچنین این شرکت تهیه‌کننده و پخش‌کننده هفت فیلم ایرانی بین سال‌های ۱۳۴۵ و ۱۳۴۹ بود که شاخص‌ترینشان، یکی «خداحافظ تهران-۱۳۴۵» با فیلم‌نامه جالبش و دیگری «قهرمانان-۱۳۴۹» محصول مشترک ایران و آمریکا است. گویا این شرکت در ۱۳۵۶ از سینماگری خارج می‌شود و تبدیل به «مولن‌موکت» می‌شود.
