🌟Hassetts/Le Chéile — Restaurant in County Clare

I had a main course only - fish cakes and salad. It really was nothing to write home about, but obviously something to write here about! I left feeling quite hungry, having consumed what seemed to be a starter, but at €12.50 was, presumably, a main course. This is a very nice, comfortable place with good parking and attractive decor. If you're rather hungry, however, choose an option other than the fishcakes and salad. If you're on a diet though... I was tempted to proffer an apology for submitting a not-very - glowing review, but thought better of it. There's really nothing wrong here that a more generous ladle wouldn't...

After leaving a review we were contacted by the owner. He was very apologetic and sincere. Most likely just the rush of the day. Will be sure to come back for another try as we did like the vibe of the cafe.

"Went here at 11:30 am. Got seated straight away. Was left sitting for 25 mins without our order being taken or even given a menu. 4 people were served after us. When a waitress was asked she interrupted us and told us she'd be with us in 2 mins then proceeded to go back behind the counter to whisper and presumably give out. At that point we were fed up and left....

A fabulous out of town place to go for a breakfast, a coffee, your lunch, your dinner in the evening or just a few drink s. Plenty of parking. Very clean, very friendly staff and always helpful. Food is very very good. Had the roast beef on the last 2 Sunday's and it's melt in the mouth. You would find it very hard to get the likes of it in a hotel or restaurant. Chips are always freshly made and plenty to eat. And the pints are very good here also. Would highly...
