A gem of a pub. Lovely traditional Irish Bar with a genuine welcome and charm. Visit it before our nanny state government closes them all down.. Beautiful open turf burning fires, cosy intimate, and friendly. They have added a Beer Garden and Glamping Site out the back too which is definitely worth checking out. Note to owner - Do advertise your Food Menu in the Bar! and have the Food Menu displayed in / at the Entrance to the pub, preferably in a light box. This will hugely increase your food turnover, if monkey can't see... monkey no buy!!

From the moment we arrived we had a great experience and 10 out of 10 for thinking outside of the box for out door dining. A table in what looks like a beech hut that is heated if you require. The food was brilliant so much so we booked in for the next night, we were on holidays in co.clare for a few days. The only negative I have wS the toilets needed attention because of how busy the place was just not enough staff to keep these updated. But would recommend to any traveller to the are.

We decided to head out of town to try somewhere different. And I remembered Fanny O Dea's. Glad we went out. This is a beautiful little spot we went into the main bar which was lovely as described by my partner it was like being in someone's front room giving it a cosy feel. We ordered chicken and the stew. Both were well cooked, very tasty and definitely filled us. The Man behind the Bar who served us was very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend worth the visit.

Unfortunate..We've been here good few times over the years but for the 1st time our Sunday dinner experience was quite disappointing. We came 4 adults and 2 kids at booked time, we were sat in the little corner of the restaurant which we thought was brilliant considering we had 1 and 3 year old with us but it didn't really do us any good as we felt forgotten.. Firstly we waited more maybe 15 minutes for someone to take our order. (I had to go and say we are ready to order) the portions were smaller than before, my chicken satay had strips of chicken on the plate with few splashes of satay sauce on top. IT WAS DRY and I mean I had that satay couple months ago and came in a little bowl full of sauce and chicken was mixed so everything was delicious.. So seeing the amount of "satay puddle" I asked right away if I could get some more of the sauce itself.. I was told it will take few minutes.. I waited.. half way thru my dinner I asked again for the satay sauce, the waitress said she'll check but never followed up... I finished my satay unsatisfied and still hungry to say the least.. after all that we decided to fill ourselves with some desserts.. We were sitting with dirty plates with noone attending us for ages, eventually I decided to go and ask for dessert menu.. the waitress followed me and handed one menu took the dirty plates away and we sat there for another 15 minutes until we finally asked if we can order desserts and 1 tea.. Person that ordered the tea had the whole pot gone which was probably another 15 minutes... no desserts... we waited a other while and decided to leave. paid for dinner and drinks as desserts never arrived.. apparently the kitchen was to blame.. we arrived at 3, left at 4:30. 1.5hr for only main course.. Overall, lack of communication, staff inattentive, long waiting, portions small and satay...

Was one of a party of 20 plus who attended on Saturday evening . The gathering was pre booked. We were promptly taken to our seated area under a canopy next to a steel shed. A cool breeze in the seated area became increasingly uncomfortable through the evening and got so cold that we requested an outdoor heater two of which were clearly visible inside doorway of steel shed. I was more than surprised to be told that heater could not be provided as there was no gas available. We placed our order for food at 7.15pm. and despite several requests no food arrived on my table until 8.35pm a full one hour and 20 minutes since order was placed.. The night was so miserable that we would have well justified in walking out paying for nothing. While the food was nice the overall experience on the night left a lot to be desired. You need to get your act together. Whether you do or not will be of little interest to us as we will never return. We spent GOOD money in your premises and your service should have been to the same...

My partner and I visited this weekend just gone.

We ate here 2 nights and on the first night everything was perfect, food was good and the staff were very attentive.

On the second night this was not as good, we went inside and asked for menus, we went outside and waited 20 minutes and nobody came to take our orders, we walked inside and were greeted by a girl who harshly took our order.

We got our food and were greeted by an amazing man named Jesse, he was fantastic, very attentive and constantly asking if we needed anything, we asked for things to do while we we were in the area and he named multiple places he recommended.

His recommendation on desserts was top notch with recommending the sticky toffee pudding and the profiteroles.

Jesse made us feel welcome and respected and left us with nothing but a smile on our faces.

Jesse gets a 5/5 for everything but for the reasons mentioned above the overall...
