To be honest, it was the name that first caught our attention as we were looking for a place for dessert and a drink since we had had a late lunch. We found that it was the “creamery” not because it sold ice cream (though it has good ice cream) but because it WAS and old creamery (among other things). They have seating inside and out but as it was a bit dreary, we chose for inside. All the staff we encountered were charming and welcoming from the hostess to the several waitresses we interacted with. Drinks were not a problem as they had a wide selection including the latest special flavor of cider from Orchard Thieves on tap which I had been wanting to try (if you like hard cider, both the regular and Blood Orange are well worth trying). Our only problem came in ordering dessert - there were far too many choices on the regular menu that sounded delicious and on top of that they had a special of Lemon Meringue Pie (with cream and ice cream) which is one of my all time favorites. Between the four of us we had the afore mentioned pie, the “warm sticky toffee pudding”, the “homemade bread & butter pudding”, and the “warm apple crumble. As good as the descriptions sounded, the presentation was even better with generous portions (though would not have minded a bit larger scoop of ice cream - but only because it was really good). Of course I have been to lots of bakeries where the treats LOOK great in the case, but the reality of taste disappoints - that was NOT the case here. We all shared and each one was truly delicious.

After a tour around Bunratty Castle and Folk Park we decided to get a bite to eat in the nearest available place that served good food, there isn't much options around this area from what I saw, but this location seemed like a good place to stop off, lots of parking, great views and a wonderful menu to choose a meal of your choice, drinks menu too, open fire, and a very nicely decorated bar and restaurant on first appearances you'll be glad you stopped off at this place. We got a table for 4 and we all ordered the bacon and cabbage which was very tasty, with creamy mashed spuds, served with a lovely white sauce and a side of vegetables to go which are not shown on this photo. Overall a great visit, good service and lovely views from the inside and outside.

Extremely Disappointing, Never again Went down for dinner at 6.15pm, we were 3 children and 2 adults, having see the sign saying dinner serve until 8pm, we thought of having dinner there, despite being ask to one of the waiter a second time until what time they are open he said 8pm. We order 5 drinks and ask for the menu, to our surprise the waiter said because they are so quite no one except us in the restaurant they would not give us until 8 pm, and shockingly the main excuse was for cutting cost. So basically If we want to have dinner it will have to be real quick, no proper dinner may be just soup now im thinking with 3 children and 2 adults how quick can we be? Because we had order drinks already so we had to stay and finish our drinks very uncomfortably as all the staff were staring at us. After few minutes of us being in the restaurant i think the manager or the owner (an old man)came down again staring at our table and saying something in one of his staff's ear, as if we should not be in.After few mins another couple came in for dinner, i guess the same thing was said to them, so they had no option just to take a soup quickly. By the time we were leaving few more people came in. I wonder if the same thing was said to them or then it was time to open the kitchen.I think they just should have remove the sign and close the restaurant if they did not want to serve food. 5 staff standing doing nothing and saying to guest who came for dinner they can't serve because of cutting cost what a shame, no hospitality at all. The owner need to shut down if he can't bear the cost but saying this to guest is extremely shocking to me. No wonder why there is never people there anymore. It use to be one of the busiest place...

Disappointing to say the least. Went for a birthday celebration and kind of regretted it. We arrived as a family of 5 adults and my 6 year old nephew. To be told there was no table as we only booked 5 adults, I did not think that a “family gastropub” would have a problem with a child joining us for dinner! But they did have a big problem with it! I asked could we sit at the table for 5 and add an extra chair? He said No, there was people sitting at that table??? I was like our table? Yes! So he “offered” to sit us at 2 tables at the opposite end of the pub, I tried explaining again that no, this is a BIRTHDAY we want to sit near or together. So after 30 minutes of talking/ waiting/ negotiating the people sitting at our table, left. Food on the other hand was v basic, like any other chipper/ pub food. I got fish that was a bit oily, not great. The gravy the others got was good. Cheap prices for cheap food and cheap service. I had handed in the birthday cake and asked him if he had any candles, he said he would look. But, he NEVER brought out the cake. He NEVER explained or offered an explanation. He then proceeded to bring out the cut slices of cake. The waiter had cut up the birthday cake in the kitchen himself. Offering no apologies when asked about why he cut up the cake himself. This restaurant had 1 job and failed to do it.This waiter had 1 job, and he...
