Second time to eat in biddys today and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We ordered turkey and ham and both were tough. The ham so much so I couldn’t cut it with my knife… we sent it back. We ordered fish and chips and beef then which were fine but far from outstanding. Two massive pieces of fish….no need for that size of a portion. The starter menu options were odd, two soups choices and two strange veg combinations…. No basic pub grub options No prawn cocktail or garlic mushrooms, no pate or scallops or even brie. We found out when we were almost finished eating that there was a sea bass special on, which no one told us about. The staff were incredibly friendly, the service was very good, the venue is lovely ….. but the food is mediocre at best. We spoke to other customers whilst we were there and when leaving and they all said the same….’it would be a long time before they would be back for food in Biddys’ No excuse for that in the north west where good food is...

The staff were just so lovely and gave us great recommendations. The menu is just perfect as it's not overly complicated or packed out with unnecessary dishes, it's wonderful food, quality ingredients, done really well. I'd highly recommend the chicken wings & fishcake to start and fish & chips and pasta for mains😋 The atmosphere the evening we were in was absolutely buzzing! Which just shows how popular it is! People travel from all over to experience Biddy's for themselves and now I can see why 🥰 We cannot wait to return and have some fun at Biddy's in the near future! Oh and they serve one of the best pints of Guinness I've had...
Read morePopped in for a celebratory meal on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a nice buzz about the place with lots of happy looking customers, nice music, an open fire, and combined with the tasteful and cosy 'cottage' decor the atmosphere was great. All the staff were friendly, attentive, accomodating, and very considerate. The food was not over-priced (consistent with similar restaurants) and was really good. We'd seafood linguine, battered fish and chips, and a steak sandwich, a glass of wine for one of us, and the meal was followed by a round of tea. The chunky chips were perfectly crispy and everything was simply delicious and with good portions. Couldn't complain about anything. My mother is very hard to please when you bring her out for food, as she's such a good cook herself, and she was delighted with every aspect of the afternoon meal, so five...
