Oscars Cafe Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in County Donegal

Nice little place.. nice food and atmosphere. However, I only gave 3 stars, my reason for this is because when me and my wife went there we sat down and as the only people in there at the time we did not get welcomed by anybody nor did anybody come down with any menu for me or my wife, we had to go get them after 5-10 minutes. We were the only people there at the time so it was strange to enter a place we have never been only to be ignored until we ordered. Also, we were near the end of our food and drinks and then we were asked to vacate our seats to other people who had a party with them of children, granted one was in a wheelchair and some others had possible mental problems, poor kids. However, I found it had an impact on my overall experience there and since we were not finished I felt it was rude and not right to ask us to move after we had just eaten our food and still had drinks and other bits to finish. I hope next time I've a better experience but the place itself is really nice and the staff also when they talk to you etc.. I think some improvements.ate...

The food is nice but some portions are extremely small for the price in comparison to other meals on the menu, especially for vegetarians. I was extremely disappointed today with the way a member of staff handled my query today when I had asked if there was a side that came with my meal due to it being unsubstantial, unfortunately she was quite rude having a comeback for anything I said. She ended up offering me a side however I feel the damage was already done by the way she had spoken back in defense mode making me feel like I was in the wrong. Not a pleasant experience. Shame as I love this place and come often for one of the best veggie burgers ever. (Which they didn't have this time round)

Was looking forward to a lovely pre bday lunch but left a wee bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

As a local family we have eaten in Oscar's so so many times and EVERY meal has been exceptional!

With COVID, my Mother and Father have continued to get take aways from Oscars and we can safely say the quality, the quantity and the exemplary service has remained the same.

We are so looking forward to returning to dining in the restaurant with you all when the pandemic beings to settle (like the picture below!).

From one small business owner to another, thank you for an amazing job over these difficult times and I wish you continued success in the future.
