If you are looking for a great pub on Inishmore, Aran Islands, County Galway, Ireland. I highly recommend Tigh Joe Mac. It is located near the Kilronan Pier. Great Pub to watch sporting events and enjoy a great pint of Guinness. Having gone to this pub three times it is consistently good. This establishment rates five stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin Ireland and lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great pub from all my life experiences and travels all over the world. I definitely will return in the near future! A must visit if you are looking for great pints of Guinness. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

While I was shopping at one of the sweater stores - the local lads told me this was their favorite pub (of the 5) on the island. And I understand why. It felt the most local. There weren’t any other tourists while I was in there, they only accept cash and though it’s small, it’s well appointed so that you could stay a long time and really enjoy getting to know the locals. There’s also outdoor seating for those days the weather is nice! Plus, it’s close to the ferry so you don’t have a long walk to get on the boat if this is your last stop before leaving.

Old fashioned bar, very basic but good craic. No music except karaoke stuff on TV screen. If food was being served I didn't see much more than sandwiches and possibly soup. Still... The pints were good, staff and customers friendly, views outside in the sun beautiful, sitting outside in the sun with a beer relaxing. Best pub on the Island.

An Obnoxious male member staff was rude and upset my wife when our sausage dog got set off by a person and barked a bit for about a minute before we got him under control. He was not kind about how he communicated he was abrupt and rude. This way of communicating their frustration upset my wife which meant we will not be going back. Stay clear of this click and head to Joe wattys instead. Has a better atmosphere and selection of beers...
