Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience in a Reordan's bub/restaurant that we have loved the times we decided to go for a delicious lunch around the Lough Gur. We had booked a table at this restaurant last weekend for our son's 4th birthday. We were two families there. We ordered delicious food, which it was. Both fathers ordered two beers each during the lunch. The mothers each had a glass of wine. The children were also happy with the meal. Everything was fine. We paid almost €200 for this lunch. This morning looking in the receipt we discovered that two more beers were added to our bill due to some possible mistake. Everything is fine, everyone makes mistakes! ...Tonight, after work, he decided to go to a restaurant on the way home and talk about this mistake. When he arrived at the pub and explained the misunderstanding of the bill to the waitress which was the same who looked after us on the day, he was dismissed by saying that the mistake should have been discussed on particular day. Of course, he apologized and said that because of the party he didn't pay attention right away and that's why he now wanted to talk to the manager and explain the situation. Waited more than 10 minutes, the manager didn't come out to talk and the situation showed that she did not want to come out at all. Of course, no one dies because of €10.60, but a very unpleasant feeling arose from the way the dialogue with customers is conducted and the fact that this situation was completely ignored by the management. It's a shame that customers are treated like that, especially when they leave almost €200. Unfortunately this was our last time spending any money in this pub/restaurant JUST BECAUSE OF THE ATTITUDE. Check your bills twice before you leave...
Read moreI highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinning experience. Good ambience, nice and helpful staff, and tasty food. We sort of chanced upon it after getting lost around Lough Gur. It was gem of a find. We had some fried calamari, tempura tiger prawns, beef lasagna, fish and chips, and chicken Kiev. For dessert, chocolate fudge cake and bread and butter pudding. The tempura prawns and the pudding are a must have. Also had a chat with the owner - he still works the kitchen and his passion for food shows in what they serve. So, if you are around Limerick or Bruff or are visiting Lough Gur, great place to stop over for some delicious food. Prices are kind of low considering they provide a fine dinning experience. Entrees come at an...
