I hate putting up bad reviews i have been here a few times and its been ok today wasnt great first of all they have a table at the door the top of it is moving up and down. I was on my own so they sat me at this table. That was ok they were busy so i was fine there i order the haddock but it wasn't cooked properly. I went up to tell them and i was meet by the manager which was very unprofessional about the whole thing she went in to the kitchen giving out to the chef while i was standing there his looking out im looking in not fair on either one of us. Then she came out of the kitchen giving out saying RIDICULOUS RIDICULOUS over and over. Things happen its was obviously the kitchen was under pressure i blame the manager not the chef. He probably got a right roasting later this is 2020 not the stone age treat staff better look after then and they will work better. He obviously didn't care or he was over worked. Best little restaurant. This is a little gem hidden away in horkins garden centre castlebar. It's always busy but they have a really good system a staff member meets you by the door and will put a reservation on a table for you so you can go up and get your food. The food is second to none and they are not shy loading the plate. It's a child friendly place and have a lovely kiddie's menu. They have lovely healthy options if that takes your fancy. The desserts and home made and lovely. The boss keeps a close eye on everything and he is usually at the till and is a true gentleman. Nothing is too much trouble for this gent and he and his lovely staff will make sure you leave...

A hidden gem. A great place for lunch with the family. The staff have a great system so you don't have to worry about getting a table, as it's a very busy place. The staff will show you to your table and pop a reserved sign on it so you can go up and order in peace. The food is fresh, tasty and just good honest food and the portions are not shy. They also do a half portion of the carvery for kids or they have a kids menu. The deserts are home made and sinfully good. The owner is always around and very welcoming and friendly as are all the staff. It's a great place and we have always enjoyed everything meal we have had there.
