I warn against ordering from this place. I have ordered from this hut many times before, but this experience was the worst I've ever had.
After waiting two hours for my order, I called the place and was told it had only been dispatched moments earlier (surely it was overlooked). I was also informed that a delivery driver would contact me within the next ten/fifteen minutes (yep, that didnât happen). Half an hour later, I still hadnât heard from the driver. I called the hut multiple times encountering a busy phone line only (this seems to be a quite common issue).
Eventually, the driver (who barely speaks English) called to say he was downstairs at my door, but when I went to meet him, surprisingly, nobody was there. I called him back to say that he was probably at the wrong address (eircode + google maps, how hard can it be?). In reply, I heard he needed around 15 minutes to show up and would call me soon. I said to him that it was more than 3 hours since I placed my order and I was cancelling it due to an extensive delay and failure in delivery. He dropped the call.
At that point, I was fed up. Â I called the hut to sort out my refund, but the phone line was still busy. Suddenly, the driver called me again to say that now he was at the right door with my order. I told him that I didnât want it and that I would claim a refund instead. Fifteen minutes after that, I finally got connected with someone at the hut, informed the employee about the situation and requested a refund (that was four hours after I placed my order).
If you think I received it without any issues, you better think again! A week after requesting it I still havenât got it in my bank account and when I called them to ask what had happened I was told they had no information about my refund in their system. I asked the lady with who I talked to give me her name, so I would know with who I was speaking, but she stated she couldn't say. I only wanted to know her first name (for accountability) and when I confronted her about the name refusal, she was unable to explain her reasoning. In the end, she said will talk to the manager and asked me to call the next day if I wanted to talk to him directly about my refund.
The next day manager confirmed to me he had spoken to her and assured me that my refund was processed immediately after their conversation. I requested proof of refund from him which I received, along with an apology for the delay in crediting the amount to my account and justification that their side did everything possible so I could receive it...
Got my refund in the bank account the next day, thank you!!!
What a nightmare that was! My advice to the readers: avoid this place at all costs, and to the personnel: get your act...

After waiting about 6-7 minutes on the order confirmation page, I was struck with an error saying that there was something wrong with the website, that my food had been cancelled and that I'd have to try order again. That, it seemed, would be no easy feat. The website started showing an error upon loading it that said something to the degree of 'The website isn't working right now, come back in 10 minutes'.
I didn't mind waiting a while so, for over an hour, I checked the website every 10 minutes or so (calling to order wasn't an option for me at the time!) yet still the error persisted. I tried ordering online from a different pizza hut location the same distance from me as the Tyrrelstown one but, 40 minutes after I placed the order, they called me to say that they wouldn't be delivering it. I told them about the problem I was having with the Tyrrelstown site and said that if they couldn't deliver food to my area they should have mentioned so sooner. They replied essentially saying that it wasn't their problem and hung up before I could reply. The exchange was unpleasant, unhelpful and downright hostile from the pizza hut employee's end.
I moved on to another delivery company after that and, out of curiosity, I checked the Tyrrelstown website about 4-5 hours later. It still wasn't working.
Today, about noon, I got a knock on my door and, for some bizarre reason, a pizza hut delivery was there waiting for me. Which out of the two pizza hut orders it was, I have no idea. Both were cancelled. By pizza hut themselves. Yesterday. Why on earth pizza hut decided it was a good idea to deliver an order that they themselves had cancelled the day before is beyond me. I'm honestly curious as to the thought process that went behind that!    Read moreAvoid at all costs, place has really gone downhill! living in Tyrrelstown since 2007, ordering from here when it was originally Godfather pizza, then PHQ, finally Pizza hut, but all the while it was run by Gerry and his wife, alongside shop manager Paul... however, once Gerry and his wife retired and this place has been taken over by different staff and management, it has gone down hill SOOOOO MUCH! AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs! They don't seem to know how to run a kitchen, read and process orders, deliver them on time or food arrive on time! I really Don't think they really care and if a head office of pizza hut still owns this shop, they really need to intervene now! Nowadays, there is always an issue with the order, the food arriving on time and hot, or the delivery driver finding your address, which is in Tyrrelstown, when you are less than 5mins from the shop but they still can't find you and ring you and still arrives 40mins+ at least after you ordered! Happened too many times now, straw that broke the camels back was having friends and family over for drinks and family get together, ordered from here and nearly an hour later no sign of delivery, rang and they apologised and said delivery on the way, half an hour later it arrived and it was cold! Absolute disappointment, run by people who haven't a clue, no manners, consideration, a total letdown... make your own food or pizza and chips at home, I guarantee it will be a million times more enjoyable and tasty than this absolute disappointment and utter letdown, honestly, Don't waste your money or Time you will never get back, you will be very disappointed otherwise....shame on them, they should be ashamed of themselves for their disgraceful service, customer service, food, quality on all levels, delivery...
