To be balanced and fair with my review ,the lady owner did offer to refund the whole meal which I politely refused on principal , as I had eaten the starter and had a small bottle of water, these two items I paid for. My order was Garlic mushrooms starter and Rib Eye Steak w/ chips o/rings & pepper sauce for mains. The starter, the mushrooms were overcooked and a bit hard , but I was hungry so I finished them looking forward to my Steak. The steak which I ordered as Medium arrived after about twenty minutes , without a fork to eat with, so I had to go to the bar for one. As soon as I cut into it the amount of blood oozing from it made it evidently clear to anyone that it was under cooked , and I couldn't eat it, and the chips were burnt and hard. My server did ask me if I wanted to send it back to the kitchen for ten or fifteen minutes further cooking , but at this stage my lunch hour had run out of time. I asked to speak to the person in charge to point these issues out before I left but as soon as she came to my table I new it wasn't going to be pleasant .As I tried to explain my issues with the meal she immediately went into verbal attack mode and said she has been in the business for twenty years and knows what a medium done steak looks like , inferring I as the customer obviously don't and she also said she didn't know were I've been eating steaks previously but obviously they don't know how to cook them, and she finished her speech with the statement "You cant please your type no matter what you do." I knew by this reaction , having dared to complain about the meal , that there was no point in any further conversation, so went to the bar and insisted on paying for what I had consumed. I certainly didn't enter the BROCK at lunchtime to fallout with anyone and maybe it was just a bad day for the boss, but I have to say that if your GOTO Response to a customer who just has an issue with a meal is to immediately try to verbally Demean them in front of others , well then maybe its time the boss to take a holiday away from...

Came in here with my Three Friends it was also my Friends birthday and it She had surgery on her stomach and couldn't eat a full adult dinner. We asked for a kids menu and got one. We all ordered drinks but when it came to ordering food my friend was told she could not order from the kids. Menu

I get it adults can't order of the kids menu, but my friend had and HSE card stating she can order of a kids menu

When we asked for the manager she was Rude, the first thing that came out of her mouth was WHAT! And we explained she said said she has a business to run. She offered a half breast but for a bigger price. My head couldn't wrap around what was actually happening. She was so cheeky we only came out for a meal and a drink for our friends birthday. We ended up leaving. The manager was more worried about making 3euro more then the service she was providing. She now lost out well over €100

The staff where amazing but they felt awkward when they had to refuse us. No doubt she has made her staff uncomfortable and miserable to work for.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone the one star is...

Never being so dissapointment with a service. I ordered a sunday dinner with cornbeef cabbage potatoes stuffing roasties and Veg. All i got was cornbeef cabbage patatoes for € 14 euros my husband ordered cornbeef patotoes stuffing and roasties . He only got cornbeef patatoes and stuffing. After quening up for a half a hour then to go back and wait another 20 minutes all they give us is 2 roasties an a bit off turinup and said ah the stuffing was on his plate and i got the cabbage like what are we ament to split 2 dinners between us paying € 28 euro for 2 half dinners with not what we ordered and not even giving up what yous missed. Thank you for running my sunday dinner im so discusted yous should have better staff who takes ordered correct and better managers to listen and give you what you ordered. Never will i waste my time or money again. What a joke of a place. Never have i ever had thia problem anywere eles yous can see its all just about the...

The Brock inn always is a good choice doesn’t matter if you want a breakfast, lunch, dinner or just have a lovely pint. The restaurant has a big menu with too many of delicious and amazing choices, great portions of food. The staff are very professional and helpful when you are not sure about what to order and the Guinness are served just how it should. I would highly recommend the roast beef is just fantastic. The prices are just in line with the high quality of the food. Lot of spots for parking. They work with the COVID regulations and the staff are constantly cleaning all the surfaces

Have been to the Brock a number of time with the family and have always enjoyed the experience. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Can be a bit cramped when it's busy but not overly so. Large menu with lots of variety. I like that the kids menu isn't just the usual burger and chips etc, even though that's all mine want! My last meal here was the steak pie and it was delicious! One of the best pies I've ever had. The potatoes and vegetables were also really good. It was a simple dish don really well. Would definitely recommend a visit and try the steak pie!

From the outside it is a bit dated but that's its charm the food is honest and value for money. Staff are no nonsense efficient but equally nice and friendly. Look its old school not a place for foodies who think they know food but don't. For breakfast I had an omelette with mushrooms tomatoes & onions and as much coffee as I could consume loved it. The omelette was to perfection. Go on give the Donkey Shed a miss for once and stop being pretentious for one day and give the Brock a go it ain't as bad as you may think. My dog Teddy would love it too.
