Nice pub, nice staff, terrible food. Ordered two mains and a starter to be served altogether. From the order taken to the food being served was 40 mins. Waiting staff were accomodating and very apologetic when the food eventually did come out.

The starter (Falafel) had a flat bread was straight out of a packet, slightly stale and extremely dry. My 14 month wouldnt even it eat and bread is his favourite food! The hummus also tasted straight out of a jar, okay fine but if you are used to making hummus at home you won't like this. Falafels themselves were just average although served basically cold.

I got the chicken burger as a main. Chips were served hot and burger served again luke warm at best. Chicken dry and the chips were oily and had a taste of vegetable oil off them. I didn't finish them as they were making me feel a bit nauseous. The coleslaw served with the burger also tasted like the caleslaw you get at a deli counter where it has been in the open air too long. Not fresh, stale.

My wife got the roast of the day, Turkey. Found the meat too dry. Although due to food intollerances she couldn't eat the gravy so that to be fair didn't help.

Overall, nice pub, nice staff, food of a very poor standard. If you don't mind cold food, stuff out of jars and packets and oily chips then you'll feel right...

Called in here by chance after checking out Google maps. Was never here before but really enjoyed it. It’s situated behind a chemist and can easily be missed. Parking is limited but once your in all is good. The outside has a large seating area which seemed very popular. We went inside and asked a member of staff for a table as all the free ones seemed to be reserved. They were very helpful and found us a table but let us know that they needed it back by 18:30 but as it was only 16:30 this was not a problem. The bar had a nice relaxed comfortable atmosphere and was very clean. They were mad busy as it was a bank holiday weekend and the last day of the Galway races but service was given with a smile. My wife and daughter both had the chicken wings for starters and I had the sea food chowder which was lovely. For mains my wife and I both had the roast beef which was really nice and tasty and was a very generous portion. My daughter had the kids burger and chips and they went down well. All was good value and with drinks everything came to €65. Well worth a visit and I will certainly be back when I’m in that neck...

Good selection of drinks. Lovely pints. However, food and service was a let down. Was seated by a male at 7.25pm (assume was a manager?) and handed menus. We were then ignored for the next half hour. No drinks or food order taken. We were just about to walk out and when a lady eventually came to take our order.

Food was mediocre at best. Chicken wings came with incorrect sauce, blue cheese dip was watery which we think may have been caused by the water bowl spilling into it but cannot be sure. Prawns were very chewy, seemed frozen. The side salad with the prawns was wilted and tasted off. Don't know if this was down to produce or being left under the heat before being served.

Beef burger - Couldn't taste the burger in it at all due to everything else in it. Chicken burger was meant to be served with bbq sauce in it but there was none.

Overall disappointed. Would return for the drinks and atmosphere but not for the food...

Several weeks , enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant with family . having eaten here at various time before inside , on this occasion we choose to sit outside with our four legged babies , Saska (my dog ) & Freddie ( another dog ).We were greeted by lovely waitress as we’re our babies .. Honestly this is another reason I shall return here . Lovely personalised dog bowls of water was given to the babies as it was very hot day .. Attaching photos of the food , one had pasta , I had a chicken wrap another had chicken burger .. Foid was hot , services excellent and atmosphere both inside and out was warm friendly .. Place was clean ! This restaurant is away from city centre , there excellent music at night definitely a place to visit or catch up With friends .. The prices I checked included drinks ..

Its my first time here and as its race week I think we were lucky to get in. Its a very busy little spot and has parking out the front. It's a lovely well kept pub, it has a lot of old features but feels cosy, inviting and up to date while keeping its charm. The staff were friendly and had a smile. We stopped for a bite to eat, 2 of us got the chicken wings to start and 1 had the chowder, all was pippin hot and tasty. For mains 2 of us had the roast beef and my daughter had a burger and chips. The beef was perfect just good honest grub and very tasty. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert so we will just have to call again to try it. Definitely would recommend if your loving for no fuss good honest food with a smile.
