I had a really nice experience at Heather Restaurant 2 weeks ago when I stopped to this place since I was cycling under the rain all morning! I came in just to eat something warm and instead I found a very warm welcome and service by Denis! He encouraged me to eat inside, even the outside area is cover, and indicated where were the toilets since I seems like I was taking a bath with my clothes on! I had a very nice soup of the day with irish bread and a hot chocolate with marshmallows (suggested by Denis). It was a perfect combination for get warm and continue my way to the Gap of Dunloe! They had plenty of parking outside which was a big plus compared to other places around!
It was late in the afternoon but they were still serving food, we got a hot drink and cake which was absolutely delicious. We were both very happy with our snack here. There is a lot of seating with some next to the windows facing the garden.
Although we didn't order any hot food we did see some being served and it looked great. We were quite jealous!!
There are a good number of toilets in the bathroom too and they were very clean.
