Worked up an appetite in the Valentia sea air so we were delighted when we saw the menu at The Watch House. We got a few smaller dishes to share as a starter & they went down very well indeed. My friends loved the fish cakes & monkfish prawn mains. I had the veggie tagine and it was divine! So nice to see something other than the usual curry/pasta/burger option for us veggies. Two regrets. One is that we got a couple of potions of chips to share and I was so distracted by my tagine that I was very late in realising how amazing the chips are. Only got a couple they disappeared so quick. Second regret is that I was driving and on a schedule so I didn't get to take advantage of the wine menu or desert menu. Next time!

Lovely staff, fab views,...

We ate outside as we hadn't booked a table and while it was a little chilly there were warm blankets and service was quick. The food was really delicious, highly recommend the courgette and feta fritter to start - to die for! Dips and bread we're fabulous too. We both had main of fish and chips and the batter on the fish was the lightest and crunchiest I've had in an age. So so lovely! Fresh, crunchy side salad too which was a welcome contrast to the deep fried food. We didn't have dessert simply because we were full of yummy food. I would definitely go back. Excellent food, good value and lovely...

This place is honestly an embarrassment, not enough indoor seats when the weather isn’t ideal and sitting outside isn’t exactly pleasant there isn’t enough indoor seats for everyone and you have to wait for ages, the food is alright but takes ages to come. That’s it with the restaurant itself but now about online. Don’t believe these reviews, a year ago I left a negative review and it was deleted by the owner, all reviews that aren’t 5 stars have been deleted to make this place look better, that’s why there is only 11 reviews all 5 star without a single one...

We stumbled upon this little kiosk and had the most delicious foccocia I've ever had. Perfect in every way. I went to get another slice but they had just sold out. I wanted to tell the baker how outstandingly perfect this lunch was but didn't want to intrude in the kitchen. The raspberry cake was just as divine. Perfect little local seaside gem. And on an gorgeous island. Nothing better! I need those recipes!

Just such a great place. Really good coffee, amazing sandwiches (when we went back I didn’t think the second one could live up to the first - but it did!) delicious pastries, and OF COURSE we went back to try the pizzas… and they were also so good! Forager pizza in particular was a delicious combination of flavours. The staff are very friendly and the view is amazing - we’ll be back as soon as we can. 🤩
