Jimmy's House of Spice — Restaurant in Municipal District of Cobh

Got a Doner kebab, curry chips and onion bhajis. Unfortunately this was a poor experience. First off the curry chips. The chips were nice. Curry watered down and tasteless. Also the portion was pathetic. Half filled the box. Bit of a joke really, I don’t know how they could honestly hand it out with a straight face. I could see the bottom on one side of the container when I opened it. The onion bhajis did not taste good and didn’t have enough onion. The kebab was the worst of all. The meat was disgusting, mushy, gelatinous and tasted bland. They also added spiced onion to the kebab which made it taste very weird. Have been using Jimmy's for a good few years and for the first while, I thought it was the best Indian in Cork, but over the last few months it has dramatically declined. Final straw this evening when I ordered chicken madras and rice. The chicken was dry and tough, but that wasn't the worst part.... The rice tasted mouldy! I rang to speak to the manager and the guy who answered the phone wouldn't let me talk to him, he wouldn't take my number for the manager to call me back, he just kept saying "I can give you new rice"! We ordered through justeat and 45 minutes later it said the driver was on the way. After this we heard nothing for well over an hour and could not contact the restaurant as their number is disconnected. The driver eventually showed up at which stage the food had been with them for over an hour so we told them we no longer wanted it.
