Thank you so much for providing your customers with non-plastic options. Especially at this stunning waterfront location in Kinsale.

By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean and fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we intentionally cycle does not actually get recycled, but rather ends up in landfills, gets burned in incinerators, or gets discarded into our oceans. These plastics break down into micro plastics, which are now being found regularly in the human body.

It meant a lot to see this waterfront, café, serving beverages in glass containers, and offering real compostable options, as well as the Compost infrastructure with which to process them.

We can’t wait to fight the plastic pollution crisis, and it will take businesses like yours, to help us get there. And to show customers what is perfectly possible.

My only other suggestion is to clearly provide reusable mugs to customers who are more than likely, enjoying their drinks in house. But I do appreciate that you offer decent, trash-free options and composting solutions on the premises.

I hope that more business is like yours...
