Tuk Tuk Wok Bar — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Castlecomer

New Asian restaurant, I was so hoping it would be good as there are so few options around the area unfortunately I was very disappointed. I spent over a hundred euro on several dishes and the food was just poor. The Thai green curry was sickly sweet, the chicken was that horrible weird looking strips that looks like it's heavily processed. They even got the 3 in 1 wrong.... skinny chips with rice in a cardboard box with a teaspoon of curry sauce left me wondering if the person that made it has ever actually seen a proper 3 in 1 before. When dining in or getting a takeaway, there a number of factors which make me return: (in no particular order), quality of food, service, atmosphere and value for money. Tuk Tuk tick all the boxes and if you have not already tried their food I would advise you to do so. The food is mouth watering, you can tell the ingredients are fresh and meals cooked to order. Really nice atmosphere and exceptional food. As a family, this is now the number 1 option for us in both take away and dine in locally. It’s great to see a place committed to fresh, high quality food and maintain that through all the dietary options. The staff were all so friendly and we even got a visit to our table from head chef Roshan and some of his Nepalese team - he was blown away by the local support.
