Nando's Newbridge — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Kildare — Newbridge

Was there for lunch today restaurant was nearly empty and so quite, ordered 2 of the 4 boneless chicken tighs for me and my girlfriend. The order was very quickly served and I'm sure everyone would appreciate quick service but doesn't mean serving the chicken without using the grill at all. It looked like was thrown on the grill for 2 seconds and then lashed the sauce on top and the skin looked like raw even though I know the chicken is fully cooked before the grill. But it's all about the flavour the grill gives the chicken and it heats it up to a higher temperature. Called the waiter and manager came over and quickly admitted the problem and I appreciate it but it wasn't professionally solved. As I had to wait for a new portion of chicken and normally or logically while I'm waiting for the new chicken the rice and chips went cold and I was expecting professionally will take my old cold rice and chips and drop hot fresh one with the new chicken as this is ABC basic training or new staff have no training would normally do. I ended up eating cold rice and chips and my whole experience was ruined. My girlfriend she hates complaints and she just forced herself to eat her chicken in silence. And for me always if I pay money for something I should get what I deserve in return this food wasn't for free if there is something not right it should be told and sorted in professional way. I hope you don't hate me and I hope lesson learned the all it takes is one staff member didn't bother to do his job right from the start. So if you not going to do it right let someone else do it and my message to the manager if you going to replace the main star of the meal you will have to replace the sides too trust me it will cost you nothing. Not a great experience...  Regular visitors to Nando's popping in to Newbridge restaurant for lunch today and must have got them on a bad day. Slow delivery of  food and drinks, when the food did arrive it was not very hot. Didn't bother raising a fuss as the staff seemed quite stressed and under pressure. I would point out that the staff here are excellent, polite and always smiling.(any stars on this review are for staff) No ice for drinks,  and several items were not available on menu. The tables were sticky with a greasy residue. At one point a staff member hurriedly cleaning an adjacent table to my daughter actually sprayed cleaning fluid on my daughter's arm and was gone before we could bring it to her attention. (We were at table 25 around 15:45, feel free to check your cctv Nando's) As my daughter was finishing her fries, she noticed a cheese type substance stuck to side of the bowl she was eating from so the tables were not the only grubby item. Compared with other Nando's locations the portions are getting smaller in Newbridge. not sure why but it's not great value. Coupled with tables left dirty for way too long, the rushed and stressed atmosphere, poor quality food and grubbness, this was not a good experience at all. I had a really disappointing experience in here on Saturday. I spent €50 between my partner and I having a chicken burger meal each. I got near the end of my chicken burger to discover a long black hair sticking out of my burger. I lifted up the bun to see it was a pretty sizeable hair at that. We made the server aware who in fairness was very apologetic and offered me another burger.. I declined as I had pretty much lost my appetite at that point as did my partner who was only half through her meal. The server advised the manager of this and it took the manager at least 10 minutes to come and clear our plates and address it. Again, she was apologetic and offered me another burger or two deserts. Neither of which I wanted. I wanted to be refunded my meal or the cost of the burger at least. I don't understand why another burger would be offered after what I had found in mine. I think anyone's appetite would be put off by that. No refund of any kind was offered. As we left and walked past the kitchen it was obvious who the culprit was as there was a female kitchen member with no cap or hairnet around the food. Totally unexceptable at this day and age and I am fairly confident against health and safety regulations. Needless to say I was pretty annoyed having spent so much on a meager meal and will not be going back or recommending...
